There's a real problem with reviewers. T'internet has given every wannabee Kermode a voice but most of these amateur reviewers are morons. It's just as bad with sports and to a large extent, cars.

I've pointed it out before when Halb has posted her videos but her mannerisms, inflection, and eyebrow controlled by string is Joan Cusack in Grosse Pointe Blank copied, with extra yankee whine. I cant see, or hear, past it. Nothing against Joan, and GPB is one of my favourite movies, but even she was putting it on.

Just waiting for Grace to say "Basque separatists " and her eyebrow going nuts and her face contorting.

WRT Grace Randolph, I find myself disagreeing with her about a lot of her initial reactions to things. I often feel she's protecting her interests within journalism by talking stuff up which isn't that good, but hopefully it's not the case here.

Guardian describe it as the most disappointing film of the year, and didn't get a good review from the New York Times or a few other sources.

It won top award at the venice film festival. Unfortunately I'm not gonna be able to watch it till next week!
I think the guardian is about as believable as the daily mash, though I don't know the other paper. There has been a bit of a media campaign against it in some quarters.
