Hopefully someone remembers where the exposure dial is in this one. The last one one was so dark it was impossible to see anything happening in the fight scenes.
^^^^ This, I think there was a decent monster film in there somewhere, especially with Bryan Cranston chewing the scenery for all he was worth, I just wish I could actually see it.From the trailers I've seen though, this one looks just as dark.

Not seen it yet, but not heard good things from a couple of people that have. Apparently you really do have to leave you brain at the door.
I’ll be interested to read a few more reviews on here.
Really???!!!I’ll be interested to read a few more reviews on here.
What from a film about a giant dinosaur fighting a three headed dragon?

King Ghidorah is the star of the show here. I've never been 100% sold on the latest Godzilla design, in a few shots his legs look really weird and I preferred the late 90s / early 00s design where he had an actual neck and head.
Thankfully it's a lot brighter than the last Godzilla film. There are some great shots, such as Ghidorah on the mountain and the sound is great, they really make good use of the subwoofers to impart the feeling of scale of the monsters.
The story is kind of stupid even by monster movie standards, mainly because of the human characters acting in unlikely ways. Chronologically, some bits and pieces don't make sense. For example, in one section they fly out to sea for about ten minutes in a jet, then the camera shows the plane from the front and they're only a few miles out from the shore.
I don't understand how the next film is going to work. They throw a few lines in to set up Kong vs Godzilla but I don't see how that fight can even work as Godzilla is about three or four times the height of Kong and maybe fifteen or twenty times the body mass. One jet of atomic breath and that monkey would be a charred mess. Are they going to shrink Godzilla or scale Kong up?
Overall it's a good monster mash movie if you're into that sort of thing.

Just come back from seeing it with my 16 year old. My 13 year old refused to come along.
I wish I’d taken his advice.
I love a good brain out movie and have even seen and enjoyed all the Fast and Furious films but this was just dirge.
I fell asleep for half an hour but hadn’t missed anything. It just was so boring.

They said in the last Kong film that he was still quite young and would still grow more so could become bigger again.Thankfully it's a lot brighter than the last Godzilla film. It was really quite poor. I think the actors were actually more wooden than the monsters.I wish I’d taken his advice.
