Another BBC travesty of justice.
So disappointing.
Why ? - because the public didn't vote as you wanted ?

Good result and a worthy winner. You could argue Faye or Ashley should have won on technical ability but Stacey didn't have their background in entertainment to help her. She did really well to do as well as she has and the public were captured by her. I didn't think she would win but I am pleased for her and for Kevin. Great series this year.

Faye was the clear winner by a country mile.
Well, clearly she wasn't because she didn't.

Anyway, it's all down to the public vote for the final. All the finalists are winners really. The Glitter Ball is just the icing on the cake, as Faye herself said.

Has anyone ever scored a perfect score in the final and not won it? Or for that matter have two people scored perfectly and not won it?

Or for that matter has anyone ever won it without scoring a 40 when so many other 40s have been awarded?

It was in a trailer just after Strictly finished. Looks like yet another talent show with a panel of judges. I just noticed that one of the judges was Oti.

What is the point in the final dances and points then if they're not taken into consideration?

So the public know they've picked the wrong winner.

To give the public some professional advice to ignore and vote for the person they like instead. wink

Faye and Ashley were clearly an absolute country mile ahead of the other two and on the night Faye should have won, she was beyond perfect. Of the other two Joe stepped it up and Stacey stepped it down and in the end they might as well not have bothered dancing at all and just got the idiot public to vote on a photograph of each of the couples.

Thought Stacey might have blown it with Kev’s childish outburst about Craig never being happy with his show dances - here’s a clue Kev: look at the other three dances and you’ll see why yours wasn’t as highly rated.

In the end though I’m pleased for Stacey even if she didn’t bring it to the final. It was a good final with some superb dances and overall probably the best series so far ( although nothing has matched Ed Balls’ Gangnam Style for pure comedy genius). The only question now is: what are we going to do until September?

on balance i think it was the right result all things considered although i did think faye's show dance might have tipped it in her favour that was a thing of pure dance excellence.

have to admit i did a bit of a double take on stacey's paso at the time although on review it is a body stocking however sheer it appears to be. no wonder kev danced his heart out. hehe

well done to everyone on the final a very high standard across the board and a really good series.

Stacey Dooley will win this.

The Ginger Minx!
Never seemed in doubt to me. It's rarely the "best" that wins, it's the one that captures the public's imagination and for that you usually need to be a "surprise". People said because of that Joe Sugg had a chance, well, you'd have thought after Brexit all these young'uns would have learned you need to flipping vote! I was pretty impressed with him, tbh, but the Dooley had it all for the Strictly win.

Plus, she's a fox! biggrin
