yes

He can get a bit "creepy uncle" sometimes though.

I’d this the first year with no terrible dancer?

They all seemed quite good I thought, although I admit I don’t have much clue-I always find it amazing I can watch someone and say s/he was good and the wife will run off a dozen faults that the judges then explain.

It’s all beyond me I guess. Maybe the news reader was the only one who was?

Couple of points I did notice-the Newcastle DJ, her dancer made an arse of the choreography, really pleased Katie Piper danced well as she still can’t clap in time to the music at the start-didn’t bode well but she was good especially considering her disabilities-and it was lovely seeing her dad well up after watching her dance. They must be mega proud after all she went through.

The para-triathlete did well didn’t she?

Stacey Dooley in gym pants is worth a vote for me each week.

Oh and Cat from red dwarf, brilliant!

The only downer is the bloke from casualty still comes across as a sex pest and Lee Ryan from blue is a complete tosser. They are both good though so we’l have to endure them for quite a while yet.

Maybe they’ll replace Shirley with Anton next series if he decides he’s sick of usually getting the donkey contestant. She was on the radio recently (can’t remember which programme) and was really cringeworthy. Performing arts types can be, but she was really ‘all about me’. Len was so much more entertaining during his stint as head judge.
I think if Anton was going to get the job he already would have I'm afraid. A shame as I think he would be great at it-he is a genuinely funny guy, as last night's routine and costume showed!

I agree.

I think he would have been a popular choice with the public, although perhaps it was felt he wasn't really judge material.

Wasn't Anton suppose to take over Bruce's role then SCD went more PC and got Claudia in, so we have female presenters only on Saturday and Sunday (Tess & Claudia) then Monday to Friday with Zoe.

I think Anton would be miles better than Claudia as co presenter.

If you don't like it door is over there >>>>> the reason us men watch it is for fit babes in skimpy outfits. What's not to like?

My wife & kids love it & it’s one of those shows that families generally all sit & watch together.
It’s good wholesome family entertainment.

Unfortunately some are just the stone age 'me man' types that can't enjoy family entertainment. You can fight with my wife other aliaz, leaving me with the lovely Welsh lass Amy cloud9

Did everyone catch the "Strictly The Best" special last Saturday where they looked back on the past 15 years and had previous contestants chatting to each other on a couch? It was brilliant and genuinely funny.

It's currently on iPlayer if you missed it. Well worth a watch.

its feel good tv and my wife and I - who are dancers - enjoy it on a number of levels but more over we sit there smiling pretty much all the way through.

beats the hell out of alot of the tosh on tv at the moment - especially most other "reality" TV.

and we both have a bit of eye candy to go at :-)
