Every year there's debate on the scoring system but I am baffled how someone can go from top with the extra hoppything dance to bottom (or bottom but one). They show where the judges rank the dancers but never show how the public ranked the dancers. I assume they take votes and convert it into a ranking and score from 1 to however many dancers are left so even if she scored 1 from the public surely with the extra hippythong points Ashley could not be in the bottom two? confused
I think that the BBC have set themselves up for this debate. We live in an era where everyone expects and demands transparency - top salaries etc.

So why the heck do they not publish the public vote, so it is clear to everyone, what happened, and why.

I also feel that them having this knowledge allows them to suggest to the judges who to put into play - about 3rd / 4th from bottom, so that they can check/stimulate everyone’s public support.

We enjoy watching Strictly, but rather like The Apprentice, it has really run its course and become a bit predictable. Having put Ashley in the Drop Zone this week, will it be Faye’s turn next?

I suspect the celebs wouldn't sign up if it was going to be public knowledge how unpopular they were.

You may well have a point.

I loved Craig's trolling in his judges comments, before whipping out his 10. hehe

I thought Stacey and Kevin's dance was beautiful and mesmerising, and very moving and emotional.

Joe and his partners outfits look very weird on my TV. The red looks like it's done in paint with no shape or definition just a solid chunk of red. Very weird.

Very decent hour of TV earlier on - all the couples did amazing routines - especially Lauren - her best so far.

Stacey just seems to be able to turn any dance she does into a fantastic bit of viewing.

Tess certainly overused the "... little face" line again though.

One of the best shows i. Genuinely so difficult to pick someone to leave. Lauren as ever will miss the dance off so for me it’s Joe v Charles, and also for me it’s Charles to pip Joe, just liked his dance more. As for Faye, the forty was an awful long time coming. Don’t fancy being a judge this evening.

Not going to be surprised if Ashley is in the dance off again. The public really don't like voting for 'professional' dancers when there's the like of Joe and Stacey starting from scratch.

I think it’s more a case of the public being partisan and biased towards home-grown talent. After all, Faye’s had professional dance training too but doesn’t suffer the prejudice that Ashley does.
