Budd hid a hand gun behind the light blue panels. It wasn't there on the police inspection. Yet, when he returned to the flat he went straight to the light fitting to retrieve it?? Was that a usb stick next to it?
That all seemed relatively sensible compared to some bits. What got me was there was no way that light fitting could have been there; first it was mounted on the ceiling, then it was mounted from above sitting in a hole. The problem is it was much bigger than the hole and had no way to get to it from above so it couldn't have been fitted. Someone obviously had an idea for a shot & fk continuity.
And if it was that easy to get at they would have searched there wouldn't they?
Yup, totally enjoyable series this. Don't give a monkey's how accurate it all is. Some of the spoilers on here align with my thoughts on plot development but the writers are doing a bloody good job of pointing suspicion everywhere. Lots of implausible stuff and bad execution/continuity but hey ho, I'm loving the ride.
I have my own theory about the blank shell but don't know how to do the spoilery thing.

The interview with David Budd (even his name annoys me) and the female terrorist was excruciating to watch, using him as a security blanket for her to open up?!
'You're doing really well, that is really useful information....'
I would've switched off at this point and happily skipped the rest of the series, yes I realise it's TV, but it's painful to watch.
Mrs G29 is into it though, so I will sit with her and watch the rest.
I can't work out if your man David Budd is a brilliant actor portraying the empty shell PTSD human perfectly or if he's just a crap wooden TV actor with no range

And there's an interview in the paper this morning with Jed Mercurio that seems to suggest she is indeed dead, not hiding somewhere. Apparently he has a reputation for killing off the so-called "can't die" characters part-way through a series.
ETA - added spoiler tags, though I'm not sure they're needed.

That bit annoyed me too - they've had her in custody for what, a month or so? And plod's finest interrogators hadn't been able to get that tiny sliver of information out of her until Dave pitches up with his softly softly approach. 'You're doing really well, that is really useful information....'
I'm a bit lost/confused about Budd's handgun location.
We know it wasn't in his house because the Police search team found the hiding place but it was empty
Was the flat he went to supposed to be where his wife and children lived? I thought I remembered him coming out of the front door of a house with a path to the road in the first few episodes (i.e. prior to them moving to the Safe House) and it also had an upstairs, so that wouldn't tie-in with it being their house.
So if not wife's house, and not his flat, whose flat was it? And how did his wife now about it yet the police didn't go to search it?

How long would it take them to find out 'scarfaces' identity in the real world? Ex-forces man would have a trail of paper work that he would never be able to shake, they'd know who he was in 5 mins flat, and have Budd up as an associate 5 mins later, yet they still haven't worked out that connection yet?!

Enjoying it but this is my main issue.Spumfry said:

The aide who was sacked in the 1st episode was beside the stage before the explosion
Was she? I'd forgotten all about her. Incidentally who reckons that Budd's ex wife's new bloke is somebody we already know. If so, who? Deepak?
Just noticed the PM is played by the News guy from W1A, the one who just said "That's bks" to everything.

It is his wife’s flat, he took the keys out of her bag ,when she knocked the door and he answered she said “I know you took my keys “We know it wasn't in his house because the Police search team found the hiding place but it was empty
