Underappreciated films

The Legend of 1900. Tim Roth plays a fellow that is born and abandoned on a cruise ship and becomes a virtuoso pianist with the vessel's orchestra. Fantastic soundtrack and a great performance from Roth and no-one I know has ever seen it. Also features Peter Vaughn and Pruitt Taylor Vince (from Identity, another underappreciated film that's worth catching). Watch it just for the piano duel with Jelly Roll Morton but stay for the rest, it has a kind of magical realism feel to it and really left an impression, one of Roth's best performances I think.

Grosse Point Blank
john, and Joan, Cusack's best work. Hank Azaria, Dan Ackroyd, Alan Arkin, Minnie Driver, Jeremy Piven as supporting cast. Amazing 80s soundtrack.
A cult film. A brilliant film that most people have not seen.
One of my all time favourites along with High Fidelity. john, and Joan, Cusack's best work. Hank Azaria, Dan Ackroyd, Alan Arkin, Minnie Driver, Jeremy Piven as supporting cast. Amazing 80s soundtrack.

I always like to pretend high Fidelity is Martin Blank working undercover

I agree, love this film. Watched it again just the other day. john, and Joan, Cusack's best work. Hank Azaria, Dan Ackroyd, Alan Arkin, Minnie Driver, Jeremy Piven as supporting cast. Amazing 80s soundtrack.

1. The Game (1997) Michael Douglas
what I want is to be able to forget the twist in this film and watch it for the first time again and again. It's fabulous
2. Bowfinger (1999) Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Heather Graham.
just funny, two great funny men playing it funny, with a ridiculous plot that just works and Heather Graham for groin pleasure
3. Citizenfour (2014)
incredible film/documentary

Rampage - Uwe Boll’s Falling Down meets Natural Born Killers. Low budget, high body count, funny in places and therapeutic to those stressed by the unfairness of modern life.
Great film, love the Bingo hall scene and Double-expresso Macchiato with extra foam "Why don't you make it like your life depends on it?"Cotty said:

^^^I was going to mention In Bruges then forgot! Yes very good film. Good actors, great location and enjoyable to watch from beginning to end
in Bruges is fairly widely appreciated in my experience.Bulworth is one of my favourite films that few seem to know. Hard to believe its 20 years old, its more relevant than ever. Think much of its target market couldn't look past the cringeyness of middle aged white man badly rapping which is sad as its a triviality.

oh gods yes, that is ace, I only thought of it last week, how it'd probably be good for a remake. Beatty's last great performance?we all gotta keep fking one another till we're all the same colour.

in Bruges is fairly widely appreciated in my experience.I nominated 'Dazed and Confused' earlier in the thread and now I want to add 'Judgment Night' starring Emilio Estevez, Cuba Gooding Jr, Jeremy Piven, Stephen Dorff and Dennis Leary.
A thriller I saw years ago and really enjoyed, keep hoping to see it on the TV one night but it never gets shown.
