So you barely listen or watch something yet cry out loud when it changes.... or deride it?
Surely for those who do listen to it often their view is more valued

The last two days have made me very happy Cox didn't get it. Evans has got increasingly annoying, but I do often listen to a lot of the show. The last two days, I listen to about 5 minutes and then switch off.

I’ve only heard a few mins last few days - why is Cox on? Half term is next week, unless his private schooling is a different time scale.

I'm the other way round, going by the last couple of days I think Cox should have got the slot.

I've just stopped listening altogether. Can't listen to Cox or Vine and when I heard it was Craig Charles in the afternoon, I had to pass.
Tried R6 Music but that's pretty dire too.

I'm kind of with you about Craig Charles - but then again even he is so much better than Steve Wright. Not really high praise, since I'm pretty sure anybody would be.

I have to come clean and say that while I am no great fan of "Wrighty", he has created a very successful, formulaic show that anyone can listen to, with a "cockney" homely banter that doesn't put people off (as regional dialects are prone to) and he is sufficiently respectful (toadying) that he has an army of loyal fans. There's not much not to like, compared to some of the broadcasting dross I've heard.

The fact his show has remained the same for several millenia, speaks volumes about his ability to tap into the great unwashed and exploit a popular niche for the "brain out, tune in" types. Even "Serious Crappin'" seems to appeal to a huge demographic of sub-intellectuals when it passed its sell-by date a couple of weeks after it was introduced. The fact he is an Unt (no C) is largely irrelevant to his obvious success.

People like Charles and Tarrant are far too clever for this slot and so polarise opinion where "Wrighty the Jovial Dustman" doesn't, so much.

Irrespective of how often I listen, this is a forum for debate so I’m entitled to air my views.

But the value of it is weak

Basically I don’t watch celebrity love island yet I’ve caught it a couple of times for a few mins. I don’t like it and think it’s an utter waste of air time.

I’d honestly say that that view is not fair to celebrity love island so if it changed the format it would be utterly meanginles to me however to those who actually do watch it their view on the topic is far more relevant - if regular viewers think it’s st fair enough if they really like it and will miss the change clearly it must be appealing.

Is it just me that finds most of the Women DJ’s annoying beyond belief, they just can’t shut up! I am most definitely not anti women but that Cox woman is dreadfull & what about the current traffic reporter in the morning, I can’t understand a word she says!

Try telling that to the BBC with Evans and Sara Cox.
Who's worse Fearne Cotton or Vanessa Feltz?
Fearne Cotton just rambles on about her household, absolutely bores me stless.
Vanessa Feltz just sends the cringe-o-meter off the scale.
Just get Johnnie Walker to be dj 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and everything would be fine for me.

And there you have it!

Give Raygun a job as controller if Radio 2. Huey Morgan can stand in for JW for meal breaks and holidays.

I don't listen to Chris every day, but I do enjoy the Friday podcasts smile

To those who think he's annoying, his replacement's more so!

Indeed, far more so. And that’s saying something.

Great cause. Great charity. I just can't bear to listen to or watch any of it. Not strictly Evans, couldn't abide it with Terry either.
