If they could do that, they wouldn't need their product.

Just seen the new Robinsons “Let there be fruit” advert. I can’t place my finger on exactly what’s so awkward about it - actors, script, direction? - but something is.

I find that funny. A joke about people being told off for causing offence. Just up PH's street.

Robocop selling insurance. Everyone remembers Robocop, right? That seminal 80's satirical movie about a dystopian future where corporations rule? Poor Robocop, turned into another corporate we.

I wonder how many people do remember Robocop.
Anything that happened before 2000 seems to be pre-history as far as many seem to be concerned.

There was a remake though I think?

Remake, - ahhh.

Short chase scene on a motorbike, then he gets embroiled in some office chicanery? It ends on a massive cliffhanger. That one?

Think I caught that the other day.

Thing is, he turns up to investigate the theft of the laptops and they tell him to sling his hook, they couldn't care less, insurance has already replaced them.

The Habito cartoon advert with the savage wasps/hornets attacking a woman and basically ripping her heart out - absolutely horrible and really quite unnecessary.
It's horrible, and I couldn't even remember the company name, so I guess it didn't have the desired effect with me.

Well it had sufficient effect on me that (for the first time ever) I made a complaint to the ASA about an advert ... possibly not the outcome they were hoping for.

100% this! I can't believe it was approved for TV! If you have young kids it's the stuff of nightmares. Totally over the top. I saw it last night and was amazed it is still on. Also complained to the ASA for the first time ever.

Well done guys, I've never complained about an advert, first time for everything I guess.

Wasn't sure if I should post here or the Council thread.

What do we reckon the most council adverts are?

I would say bingo ads with the top prize going to the execrable Foxy Bingo ads.
