This. We need to petition the ASA to ban all adverts portraying white men as dribbling idiots.
That would mean no white adult male representation in adverts at all! Got to give us something!

Why? Seems sensible to me that the best person to be portrayed as an idiot in an ad is the one with least to lose from it. Can’t see these ads will undermine the white male’s position in society very much.

I actually prefer it to seeing men stereotyped as confident, cool, handsome types - perfume and car ads are the worst - as most of us aren’t. Personally I’m a lot more like the dribbling idiot.

Well, the alternative is to do nothing to address the inequalities in society. Hmm, also not a great idea. Tough choices...

Anyway, back to slating the advertising community, which is one group we can all agree don’t deserve any support.

How’s about we don’t portray any ‘type’ as idiots.

Why don't we all:
Take out over 50s life cover
Get a funeral plan
Leave all our money to charity in our will.
Then we could tick all the daytime boxes!

The Habito cartoon advert with the savage wasps/hornets attacking a woman and basically ripping her heart out - absolutely horrible and really quite unnecessary.
It's horrible, and I couldn't even remember the company name, so I guess it didn't have the desired effect with me.
Well it had sufficient effect on me that (for the first time ever) I made a complaint to the ASA about an advert ... possibly not the outcome they were hoping for.
100% this! I can't believe it was approved for TV! If you have young kids it's the stuff of nightmares. Totally over the top. I saw it last night and was amazed it is still on. Also complained to the ASA for the first time ever.
Was there not another variant with a bloke being eaten by piranhas? Still vile.
WTF saw this last night for the 1st time. That is horrific

Some computerised version of I presume Einstein prattling on about getting smart meter so they can plan usage...hmm pretty sure the national grid already works in that fashion, otherwise there would be power cuts when everyone made a cup of tea at the end of the relentless coverage of some (nice or not so nice depending on who you listen too) old guy being celebrated/ buried etc.
