There's a load of this going on at the moment. Seems a waste of the marketing budget. You don't convince anyone of anything new and then forget to actually sell your own product.

i had to look that up, i didnt know that it was a thing,
it really is stupid, if every company now gets on the, were saving the planet, wasting your time telling you this, "message", and spend their entire ad budget and time telling us, and not on the thing they are supposed to be flogging, mad

H&M advert that utterly butchers 'Enjoy the Silence'.

Hopefully one day this stupid fashion for breathy female acoustic versions of songs in ads will end. Or at least they'll learn to at least roughly follow the original tune.

I know it's a bit bizarre.
They have millions in the bank & a monopoly, why bother advertising?
Although the Scottish Government are taking over PIP,DLA & Motability in Scotland soon, so maybe they are getting ahead on that

I also get puzzled why Anglian Water run TV ads. Am I supposed to go and flush the loo a few times having seen it?

Tedious longevity award to the Haribo Starmix policemen and their baby voices .
If I spot it in time the sound goes to mute for the 30 seconds .

The yodelling Dominos advert. As terrible as the Snickers one, where the rock climber is screaming.

Now that PPI is done & dusted i see that Leigh Day have jumped on the Dieselgate compo claim bandwagon, based on their crappy advert earlier in the evening.

Shouldn't anyone be able to make a claim, not just vehicle owners? After all, as someone who hasn't owned a diesel car, I have to breathe the same air as everyone else.

Or have I missed something?

And it's been made even more annoying, if that's possible, with the addition of that little extra bit on the end, the "radio call" back to the station.

I think it's based on the premise that you bought the vehicle based on the published specs.
Those published specs will include the false emissions so therefore you were duped.
That's the way I understand it but maybe totally wrong.

Probably the biggest loser has been the government with the false figures leading to lower BIK rates.

That and the other OEMs that couldn't compete with the falsified figures. I did once joke with a GM rep that they were so far behind the Germans that their cars didn't even have a defeat device biggrin
