Oh yes, I missed fking Rylan, I'd inflict so much pain on him, and take great pleasure from it. Edited by Milkyway on Wednesday 6th July 22:13
So, pretty bad if she ‘cinched’ it...
All ad agencies have to do is convince a company, that is all, the comply with he regs. They care not how stupid and unreal their ads are, witness the abundance of utterly unrealistic families seen now in just about every advert, so much so it becomes a farce of itself, in desperation to come across woke.
Advertising both fascinates and staggers me.
I am endlessly amazed that agencies think a very average Renault, Nissan, Kia etc will stop me in my tracks while I am in town.
I have no idea what plane these peopel live on, but they are ALL the same

The philosophy of Ad agencies is simple, tell people that something is great enough times, and eventually they will believe it.Advertising both fascinates and staggers me.

Its like those shi**y novelty songs that appear in the charts from time to time. They constantly play on the radio, and we all say how much we hate them.
But eventually, you catch yourself whistling along!!
Side issue but Shortform v longform
nearly all adverts start off long then get edited down.
I notice that a longform ones are shown during the day for the dreaded budget funeral supplier
The chap who seemed to have a thing going on with " it's June Dad".
Recap here is the original excellent advert with June and Dad in all their glory
https://youtu.be/c6hspoqg8qU
Well his solo advert is being shown in long format as he washes his tomatoes and butters his bread ready for his mid day snack. The actor is Roger Martin and as he appeared as a country side copper in an episode of The Professionals as far as I am concerned that's enough to warrant a mention
Anyway it got me thinking and so I started looking up at the TV when working from home during the day. There are loads of them Carol Vorderman and her amazing age and gravity defying bust
And googling threw up this parody sketch
