finally binge watched all of this.
Allowed it to stack and was wondering if I should, space requirements are other things stacking, like the (in comparison to this) woeful and laughable COndor. just bilge, but I caught mention of dark humour in one of the first posts here and stopped reading
Just finished, best thing the BBC has done...since Zen I reckon. Reminded me very much of a French programme, like Braquo, where it kept subverting your expectations and I didn't know where it'd go, stuff I expected at the end happened much sooner. SUblime dialogue and writing, great acting, so clever and funny, a genuine refreshing change from uk telly, as quirky and good as Fortitude.
For a uk show, I can't quite believe how much I was enthralled by it.
THe equal of any US/French prog, put my faith in the fact the best of UK telly can match the best of the US
edit
forgot peaky binders, best thing since that. I'm gonna watch Litle drummer girl now

Interesting, I've recorded all of the Little Drummer Girl as well, and not got around to starting it yet.
A fan of spy stuff? I was also recording berlin station, but had to drop it as the skybox was creaking and it deleted Deliverance! Which I hadn't watched yet.I stacked LDG because I saw it had Michael Shannon, one of my fave actors
I guess by now everyone who was interested must have watched it but having enjoyed the whole series I was disappointed by the ending. Sometimes I wish they'd just accept that it has to end rather than try to set-up some implausible cliffhanger so they can work a series 2. The state Villanelle was in, there was no way she could have just walked out.

So this BBC made show premiered a second series last night...
..in the US only.
No UK release date yet given. Are they are asking to be pirated or what?
Wasn't the first series shown a lot later here too?..in the US only.

It is a show made for BBC America, although it is made in Britain it isn't actually made by "the BBC"
It's madness - I heard it was back on yesterday, couldn't find it anywhere in the EPG - strange. Oh. WHAT?!
It's not piracy surely if you've paid your licence fee....
edit - Ahh, well that explains it - BBC America is something entirely different. Not sure my defence is so robust, m'lud.

Licensing means that AMC in the US - the co-owner of BBC America - has first-screening rights. Rather than air them one by one immediately after US broadcast (or simulcast at stupid'o'clock like Sky with Game of Thrones, the Beeb says it has made a considered decision to hold it back in the UK so it can release all 8 episodes at once, since apparently people really liked being able to watch the first series that way.
So, expect to see it in early to mid June. By which time a good chunk of the target UK audience will have either found it on Kodi or accessed it via a VPN.....
