I think it’s great. Constance can work on my car anytime ( preferably when the missus is out)

I thought the 1st series was ok but the last 2 have been abysmal!

Mark is so far up himself he's almost a mobius strip - his "artistic" vision is just tacky add ons and cob webs, given he wants to attract high rolling customers he needs to accept that they might want a car building to how they want it.

The paint finishes are horrendous given their supposed value, having painted my own car which was something I had never done before I truly believe I did a better job in my tiny garage. I think the wraps they also do aren't great especially that lovely old military ambulance they wrapped gold - awful!

He has some good people around him despite their act up for the camera antics it's just a shame that what they churn out is not as good as their hype.

I thought the van that made the parts magazine shoot was fairly good although not to my taste, same with that $100k Corvette Stingray.

Overall though the work is leagues below Gas Monkey, and not even on the scale of bhin Rides (their work is stunning)

For Netflix Rust Valley Restorers is more discreet and tasteful.

I like the series but the cars are absolute dog eggs. Finally getting $280,000 for those concept vehicles was hilarious. You could see the bubbly carbon wrap on the bike and the fire grate on the "supercar" looks ridiculous. Also the finish was spectacularly bad on the windscreen and inner doors. It wouldn't work as a show in the UK as none of their vehicles would be allowed on the road but perhaps that's why I enjoy it. It's cartoonish and I have no problem with that.

What is the deal with US customisers and bleedin' spider webs though? It's such a unique feature that everyone does it.

I really enjoy the show but some of the designs are odd. The concept vehicles were horrible looking things so I really have no idea how they managed to get 280k for them! The fake Porsche 917K looked st so I don't understand why the customer decided to settle for a crap replica when the original was his dream car.

The Lincoln Zephyr panel van from the last episode was really nice, but considering it was for a high end client, why was it not painted in a spray booth like a lot of their other projects?

comparing their work with bhin rides is chalk and cheese

the paintwork is shocking, fit and finish is none existent

so much engine turned steel/brass and cobwebs, nothing lines up, it all looks like "fk it, that'll do"

very reminiscent of Leepu & Bernies efforts

For some reason I've found myself watching season 4 of this and it really is utter s**t.

On top of the awful stuff they produce the lack of any standards and h&s is bonkers. I've just watched them torching springs and gas/oil filled dampers with oxy acetylene, welding with a propane tank ON the welding bench, constant cutting and grinding with no ppe etc, I'm not a h&s freak but for a televised show filmed in the lawsuit centre of the world I can't believe they can get away with it!

Luckily there are still a pair of reasons to watch laugh

I seem to have been addicted to this rubbish, mainly to shake my head at the awfulness. I cannot believe that someone paid $280k for that concept car and bike, it was laughably terrible. I am hopeless but reckon I could design a better car.

Mark is so creative, spiderwebs, lowered, bigger engine, bright paint on all devices. Everything he touches apparently handles like a race car biggrin

It's obviously made-up tv, no way can this all be real.

Love how the focus of the series was getting publicity so they could get their name out there for more high end builds. You're on a freaking Netflix show! How much more publicity so you need?!

Like a lot of these shows if the customers actually watched them they would run a mile seeing some of the bodges. I dread to think what the handling would be like as they seem to do zero testing or dialling in, everything is based on looks.

I haven't seen this show yet, but from reading these comments the premise and execution sounds similar to Goblin Works Garage. That was st as well.

Anyone watching the new series? The Tesla was horrendous, no idea how they managed to give it away let alone ‘sell it’. The motorbike with the front swing arm was very clever and looked good I thought.

I just can’t get over how bad the quality of their work is, I’d be truly embarrassed for anyone to see it if I had created that, they can’t even get bolt holes in a straight line.

They actually used the words seemless for this modern dash installation!

I suppose it makes for compelling viewing though, I can’t wait to see just how st the next car will be.

I recon even. Bernie and Lepu were better than these guys…

The Ferrari just needed putting back together, good polish and then sell for profit. Green ffs.

The 360 Spider was horrific and the guy paid $180k or thereabouts for it, what an idiot. I can only assume that Netflix gave him $120k towards the cost as no one in their right mind would pay that for such a hatchet job.

Shrugging for victory

This show is the WWE of car restoration shows. There's no way anyone is buying any of this stuff. The orange peel in the paint finish of the Ferrari was just as shocking as the stupid metal GG logo on the bonnet. I was genuinely laughing at the restomod dash, as for that Daytona charger? Nkt strengthening the door from the off and foithst shakedown test. The painted on headlights w ere a highlight 🤣🤣🤣 However, I watch it as it's brain out easy viewing.
