At last I can finally post.
Just wanted to say I have joined the fold after many years away.
Previously owned a R300 and missed it too much so brought myself a 420R
So eager to get out in it but wet weather halts play.

Very nice! Saw that go up for sale a month or so ago, you soon snapped it up smile

Not long until the shortest day of the year and then the nights start getting lighter and you can use it more!!

Hoping to return to Caterham ownership myself soon and a 420R is top of my list thumbup

I see it’s got the 620 nose. Does it have the 420R racerad/oil cooler?

It’s just that there’s a guy on Blatchat having a nightmare building a kit with that rad set up, which Caterham say is the latest spec.

He’s desperately looking for an under the nose pic of one of that spec as he can’t get it all to fit.

Very very nice and a really unusual colour.

Resist the temptation to drive it until the roads are dry and clean, or thats what I would do.

I hope you have better luck with the rear exit exhaust, mine lasted 3 miles into my first drive before the link pipe hit the road on a bump at about 50mph. I now have a side pipe on.

The colour is Porsche Ultraviolet so very unusual. Built for the CFO of Caterham and sold with just 800 miles on the clock and an epic spec. I found it too hard to resist.

Mine is quite noisey around the rear (not exhaust noise) so I need it all checked in the new year.

They’d be appreciated. If you do post then I’ll let him know so he can come on here and see them.

An image under the nose is what needed. The guys at his wits end having been severely messed about by CC, he needs to see how some of these cars have been put together.

If you do get the nose off can you note whether or not the top near side radiator bobbin has been hacked about to fit and if the top hose is forced into place?
