Sooooooo, i’ve just finished watching both seasons of The Mandalorian.
Because the lead character is latin, i thought nothing of the fact he was speaking Spanish... so i put the Subs on so i could understand what characters were saying. Just thought that it was some homage to the diversity of the outer rim and that they spoke an alien/foreign language. Didn’t even blink when Luke Skywalker spoke Spanish (he’s a Jedi Master and plausible that he’s bilingual).

After wiping a tear from eye, I then flicked to watch Loki..... hmmmm, now there’s a Norse God speaking spanish as well. Turns out one of the boys must have accidentally selected Spanish as the language on The Disney channel.... so i’ve basically watched all of The Mandalorian...... in Spanish... with English Subtitles... and not for one minute did i think anything was up.

That's brilliant smile . It's reminded me of something, my brother went on a trip to Germany when he was in school, I think it was with the school band. While he was there he bought a few things for me, mum and dad, he got me an REM album. He wasn't sure about it though, because he thought they might be singing in German on it hehe .
Hilarious! Most definitely the sort of thing I'd do rofl

My mate got a dodgy copy of Casino Royale (the Daniel Craig version). We spent half an hour trying to get it to play in colour before watching on and realising the opening credits had been filmed in black and white.

A little known fact:
The two control sticks Mando uses in the Razor Crest are Thrustmaster T16000 joysticks. I just noticed as there’s one on my desk…

Same here I didn't know the begining was black and white...I stripped the amp of all the connections, swapped over the Blu-ray player, did colour checks on the projector and finally tried it on a TV...its the most stupid I've ever felt.

I did the same thing with Kevin Smith's Clerk's many many years ago, I'm ashamed to admit - cheers for reminding me! hehe

Yeah, this was covered in the show called the Gallery, which is the making of type show, they weren't told what they were doing until they all got on set, must have been amazing and blown their minds.

I thought it was a fantastic thing to do. It helped them out and made some fans very happy. It would've been great to see their reactions.

Watch the Gallery episode about it (I think it might be the last episode of season 1 of the Gallery), there's some reaction on there and more about the story. The whole Gallery is well worth a watch if you haven't done so already. The technology used to shoot the show is amazing, the musician for the music etc is great and very talented. Also the latest episode S2E2 is about Mark Hamills involvement and again, very good.

Boba Fett is the only man to spend 5 years in a desert and come out fatter than he went in, so god knows what a spell in Jabba's Palace will do for his BMI... just look at Bib Fortuna...

Am I the only one not enthralled by this? I like the Mandalorian character but Boba Fett has been done to death plus as the poster alluded to above, the actor isn't exactly in great shape and a bit too old to be doing action scenes. I also don't think he's actually that good an actor.

Yup, I'll risk the ire of die hard fans but I don't get the hype with boba, he was a whiny bh in clone wars.

I'd much rather see a series about Hondo.

Of course the big advantage of a character that wears a helmet is that he can be subbed easily.
I suspect this will be a story of his life type effort, so a younger fitter Boba will be the focus.

yeah , same here - i suffered through LOKI, and Falcon and Winter soldier , as i thought that was acted pretty flat and poorly written, but the hype around those was immense - i just hope The Mandalorian wasnt a "one off" when it comes to star wars series.

There's been a season 3 trailer leaked from an event that was held earlier.

It starts off good for the first half but then the phone is moved half way through the trailer so can only see half the screen.

Mando is going to Mandalore to make good and apparently the only good thing from the new trilogy, Babu Frik is going to be in it along with some returning favourites.

It's been removed from YouTube but if you Google it there's some sites that still have the trailer.
