I thought it was a great ep, but I also liked Andor.
That’s great, but there’s no need to turn the Mandalorian into a snooze fest as well. Personally I couldn’t give a rats arse how the new republic process data.

Plus the plot had more holes than a tramps vest.

Very much like the book of Boba Fett the Mandalorian bits were great the rest ste.

I’d go as far as to say it’s the worst episode of the show full stop.

They spent half a bloody episode on developing a character that went precisely nowhere. A good thing because the character was rubbish anyway.

I’d write more, but can’t do spoiler tags so…..

All I’ll say the whole sub plot made absolutely no sense at all.

This is not the way!

Is it me or do all the characters look cgi in this episode? Looks more like a computer game.

The Doc certainly did... I mentioned it to my Son.

We both got very excited for one moment, thought they were going to go down a Death Troopers style story line. That would be awesome.

If folks haven't read the book, do so... Great mixing of genres.

I have to concur with the others, the vast majority of episode 3 was bantha poodoo and just seemed like an opportunity to show how painfully obvious the volume is again. Of all the worlds and unanswered questions I have about where the Mandalorian is set, dodging your train fare is not one of them.

If you’re talking about the Doc, I don’t think he was the one being developed, rather he’s a bridge to a new or returning threat.
Moth Gideon? Plus hints of something rotten in the heart of the republic.

I prefer the longer arc this season is taking to the monster of the week stuff of earlier seasons.

Not feeling this series, feels like a kids tv show. Watched the 1st one, gave up on the second just feels odd now.
The entire Star Wars franchise is a kids show! biggrin

That's why it's so funny seeing adults taking it seriously and wanting perfect plots etc.

I thought the latest episode was ok, so far I prefer this season to the previous one.

Walking in / falling in / jumping in / splashing about in / basically anything that involves getting any part of you wet whilst keeping your helmet on…..stop sniggering at the back laugh

When something is crap, this is always the fall-back position. Bad writing is bad writing, whether for kids or adult audiences, yet people still defend crap!

As an almost completely unrelated aside, I only discovered yesterday that Alec Guinness had a 2.25 % of revenue deal for his acting and help with the script in the first movie. Apparently made north of $100 Million from a role and film he didn’t think much of.

yikes

I watched it with my son, and he said the same about the Doc. After the episode had finished we both had the same reaction of 'Is that it?'.

Depends whether you think it's crap or not. Personally I'm enjoying it, but then, who's to say whether I'm easily pleased or thinking too deeply about lightweight entertainment?

You also have to remember there were a lot of Tie Fighters at the beginning, who's are those? Is the ex-Empire woman working for them by getting rid of any links to Gideon and making the New Republic think it's all over by wiping the mind of the Dr so he can't let slip anything he might know is still out there (clone based) and helping to enable a rise of a new Empire?

Season 1 & 2 were episodic, a bit like Firefly, or the A-Team, etc, and it worked well. This season has a definite long arc feel to it.

Hopefully it will be as entertaining. I enjoyed Andor a great deal, but they are different beasts, and not sure if it will translate without making it less fun.
