Yes, it was good, better than last week. I'll wait until next week, but it appears to be morphing into the Bo Katan Kathleen Kennedy show.
FTFY.BTW most of the decisions that made the sequels what they were are down to Bob Eiger, but by all means blame the woman.
I watched the latest episode before work this morning.
Pretty good, spoiled slightly by a pointless sub plot which took us again to Coruscant for no real reason other than to give everyone’s favourite “definitely not an imperial mole” a few minutes of looking shifty on camera..
Also apparently the new republic only have one active X Wing and pilot too.
That said generally it was pretty good, but let down by the above.
7/10

I actually thought the coruscant piece served a useful purpose this week, reinforcing how utterly useless and self serving the new Republic is. It reminded me of padme's anger over the old Republic discussing the invasion of her planet in a committee. The scene was short and sweet and made it's point without the need for a discussion on biscuits and ice lollies.
The rest of the episode was simple, great action with well signposted bad guys and good guys.

I have to admit I'm not quite gelling with this new series.
I found the fight scenes very reminiscent of early Star Trek in this episode. The Pirates seem to have been to the Storm Trooper school of gunnery. It seems if you haven't got to fight a big monster in each episode you have to fly your space ship down some narrow cavern! They just keep repeating the same things!

It’s very disjointed, like they’re trying to concoct a story where one doesn’t naturally exist.
The story line combined with the sometimes terrible cgi (big dragon bird thing for example) and comedy puppet grogu aren’t making it easy to watch, but I’m hoping it ties together into a really good story.
Though “how did you manage to find us, mandalorian pride ourselves on our secrecy” “uh, dude I served with told me, probably lots of other people too” “oh, guess we have to completely relocate then” some of the dialogue is just ridiculous.

Yeah, it's losing its freshness now, wandering aimlessly from one episode to the next.
yes - i get the feeling they have a thin main arc-plot, but they are not really knowing what to do anymore for each episode that has not already been done 1000 times already.....Grogu is just a bit part now, no real movement forward for his training (even the ep. a few weeks back with him fighting the kid was a bit meh) or his character at all, is he fitting in, is he building relationships is he getting older, is he becoming a worry for the mandalorians because his force powers are becoming so great, is he not progressing at all, does he need jedi training after all............... ah he can move a crab in the sand.....
the reveal of the you know who big baddie was also a bit disappointing, cant we have someone new please.....
the animation series seem to have more to interesting strands of the star wars universe than this at the moment .
i'm getting the feeling all these series are just diluting what could have been one mega-amazing-long running plot/series.....
its still pretty good though, certainly better anything Rian Johnson could do ;-)
They’ve really painted themselves into a corner with Grogu in my opinion.
Yoda was 900 when he died, so to keep things nice and easy let’s say the species live 10 times as long as regular Humans.
Grogu is supposedly 50, so he should be the equivalent of a 5 year old, talking, running about etc.. instead he is more like a 1-2 year old.
There is no way to correct the character. At this point he’s the Maggie Simpson of Star Wars.
No wonder the species has died out. Pregnancy must last 8 years, 60 years as a teenager! The parents must murder most of them too.
I was quite happy when he went off to train with Luke. Great, he can pop up every now and again for a cameo. He just doesn’t work as a Mandalorian though. The whole group would be dead while he is still a foundling.

I really enjoyed that episode.
Plot aside and contrary to opinion above, I really liked the sesame st look of it.
I enjoyed the badges (I mean that metal badge with the blue sweets stuck to it was amazing ), seeing inside the x wing, the binoculars, the puppets/animatronics, the pirate captain, the fact that it is all still so retro futuristic. All contrasted against some fantastic CGI flying/battles
It was a good fun fix of nostalgic star wars with 1970's knobs on.
