It's more akin to something like Knight Rider or Airwolf etc, with the added benefit of the depth of the Star Wars Universe. From that perspective, I can accept this format of a continual series of mini missions.

Definitely! I really hope they continue in the current format and include some other character series.

I just hope it doesn't degenerate into the monster of the week format that a lot of these series seem to fall into over time. I don't mind the odd detour of course but I'd like them to keep the main plot moving forward too.

I enjoyed the series as a whole, but the plot armour was a little ridiculous in the last episode. They wander outside of the building surrounded by stormtroopers and not one of them got shot?

For me at least it was one of the few series in recent times I've watched where I was repeatedly questioning the structure of the plot and the pacing. Normally it doesn't cross my mind but it the thing I was most conscious of.

I still enjoyed it but I'm surprised they let it out into the world in that form.

I felt as though there was a slow burn element to it, which culminated in a gradual humanisation of The Mandalorian.

As I’m law abiding wink I’ve waited for Disney + to launch and am now up to episode 3. Loving it so far.

His rifle is entertaining, especially when dispatching Jawas!

I hope Lego decide to run some sets based on the show!

Thanks to Disney+ in the UK I've finally got around to watching this too - well, the first 3 episodes avialable.

I really wanted to like it.... but as mentioned earlier the pacing just feels all wrong to me. Also short! Less recap and titles they're struggling to make 30mins of content.

Something about the way it's directed doesn't seem to work - maybe I'm just old?! Felt a bit kid-friendly and dumbed down. I'm also assuming that some of the janky special effects are a nod to the charm of the early star wars films. I hope so...

Although all of this could be because I'm also watching Better Call Saul and Narcos at the moment... this is no comparison really.

Finally got round to subscribing to Disney Plus and my first port of call was this. Only 5 episodes though? Wikipedia says more? I guess they not available in the uk yet?

Just started to binge this.

Has there ever been a more lovable character than Baby Yoda? Disney pressing every single button with that creation. They’ll sell 30 billion toys.

Anyone (like me) strongly reminded of Spaghetti Westerns?

The Mandalorian is basically Cint's "Man With No Name" and so many of the set pieces are straight steals from the genre.

Still decent fun in all.
