Hilarious.

I must have missed it in the credits in the other episodes with IG11, but his voice was Taika Waititi biggrin

Anyone (like me) strongly reminded of Spaghetti Westerns?

The Mandalorian is basically Cint's "Man With No Name" and so many of the set pieces are straight steals from the genre.

Still decent fun in all.
There are a few Spaghetti Western themed Mandalorian trailers made by fans on youtube like this one - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJH_RbnrGUs

Finished it last night. Watched the whole series in 2 sittings with my 12 year-old daughter (who loved it too BTW).

Baby Yoda is just so cuuuuuute! smile

I was in Star Wars nostalgia heaven and she well and truly has the bug.

Throw in some Harry Potter, Highlander and Breaking Bad alumni and both fans here were well and truly served.

I didn't recognise Richard Ayoade voicing Zero, but my daughter did.

As I was watching that episode I sort of recognised the voice and was going through who it might be beforeI got to Richard Ayoade. "David Mitchell, no. Robert Webb, no. Stephen Mangan, no. Richard Ayoade, that's it! biggrin "

Binged watched it over two days, then went back and did it all again.

Really enjoyed it, and eagerly awaiting the next series.

It's probably the best Star Wars related thing out, after the rubbish that was the new trilogy it's good that Disney made this.

The last episode was mint and can't wait for the new series, seems like anything Taika Waititi directs at the moment is gold.

Just finished episode eight - is that series one done now or are there further episodes to come? The only thing that spoilt it for me was the helmet removal, I’d rather have the mystery than knowing what he looked like.

There's a new series started that's looking at a different part of the making of and the people involved. The first one is the directors https://www.disneyplus.com/en-gb/series/disney-gal.... Remember the three X-Wing pilots from episode 6? They were directors of different episodes, Rick Famuyiwa, Dave Filoni and Deborah Chow. (I only made the connection because I watched the directors programme last night and binged all of the Mandalorian again today hehe .

Did we ever find out who was standing over the body at the end of episode 5? Moff Gideon?

I just binged this over two days. As has been said many times: outstanding. Makes the recent trilogy and the stand-alone films (I cant be the only one that thought Rogue One was pointless with a bunch of forgettable, unlikeable under-developed characters) look amateur by comparison. Recommended x100

Just finished this, episode 8 is the best bit of Star Wars content that has been produced in years, no wonder Taiki got a movie.

The opening 5 minutes are pure, absolute joy.

Binged watched over the last 2 days, thought it was very good overall, perhaps the prison breakout episode was a bit weak.

The last episode was superb.

It's not often i sit and watch end credits too with the art work, even the accompanying music works for me.

The Mandalorian having its main actor in a helmet for most of the series has made the Golden Globes change its rules on awards. Voice-only performances are not eligible for acting award categories. https://variety.com/2020/tv/news/mandalorian-pedro...

The 20 seconds of him without a helmet doesn't change their mind, they're classing The Mandalorian as a voice-only performance.
