I have to admit that I actually thought it was live until a few years ago when they cocked up the timing of the transmission and 12:00 happened a couple of minutes before everyone else's. It just never entered my head that it was not live. I do feel a bit of a spoon for thinking it was.

Maybe the BBC Dictators make all performers & ticket holders sign up to some weird kind of non-disclosure agreement.
