Hi,

I wondered if anyone could help with measurements on a 570GT as I can’t find what I want on the net.
I’m looking at removing part of a wall which divides two single garages.
Can anyone tell me the distance from the front of the car to the doors front and rear edges.
I think that will allow the door to be opened fully and also make getting in and out much easier.
Will get to a dealer over Xmas but thought it’d be quicker asking on here.

Thanks

I'll measure my 540C sizes tomorrow if you don't have a reply by then.

Thanks Justin, that’d be great. Very much appreciated.
The question has been asked before but seemingly never answered. The measurement isn’t covered in an of the Mclaren specs either.

Cheers

Hi Paul,

Hopefully I've got the measurements you are after. I'll try and get a couple of pics uploaded aswell but I'm not need a computer for Flickr. So not sure how the quality will be...

From the front of the car to the front of the door is 52 to 53inches, and from front of car to rear of the door is pretty much exactly 9 feet.

And to have the door fully open, you will need 2 feet wider than the car itself, maybe slightly less but I wouldn't risk it

I had a quick measure. 140cm from tip to front of door, and nearly the same to the rear of the door. so 140 and 140.

Justin and Targarama,
Many thanks for taking the time to measure your cars.
Those measurements are exactly what I was after.
Time to call the builder smile

I was concerned about space too but the doors seems to take up less space than conventional ones, even with the McLaren being 3" wider than my previous car. Having the comfort entry really helps too, not something I'd have specced but it came with the Lux pack and I wouldn't be without it now. Good luck!
