Lost pressure in the clutch pedal a few days ago, was also fluid leaking from bottom of gearbox. Took the box off and it looks like the slave seal at the back had failed as I could see where the fluid had ran down.

I have put a new slave cylinder in and box back on however I cant get it to bleed, I have taken off the flexi pipe that connects to the to slave on top of the gearbox and nothing is coming out. Last time I changed a clutch on one of these vans the pipe continued to leak while disconnected. I am using an easi bleed and last time it took about 1 min to do it.

Make sure the clutch pedal has been pulled all the way back against its stop. If the pedal is slightly down, the master cylinder will close the port between the reservoir and the circuit which will prevent you from filling the circuit.

Given the location of the bleed nipple, an easibleed isnt ideal. The age old pressing pedal via an assistant is better as this can help draw any air back to the bleed point.

Or once you have some pedal, a syringe so you can push or pull fluid from the system is handy.

But it should be easy, just make sure the nipple is unscrewed far enough to allow fluid/air out, as it takes a couple of turns with the crappy plastic nipple they use.

I've seen loads of idiots replace master cylinders and all sorts, when it was all down to their ineptitude at bleeding.

And ensure you have the flex pipe secured correctly into it's recess, and the o-ring isnt damaged/misplaced, although as you dont mention fluid pissing out here, it should be ok.

But get an assistant, get some sort of pedal. And do the press, open/close, release pedal method a few times. Or an initial remove bleed nipple and let gravity start things off can help and refit nipple, to at least confirm fluid can get that far ok.

I have managed to get a pedal by reverse bleeding it with a length of tube from bleed nipple on slave to front break nipple. Tried with my partner pressing and holding the brake a few times but no fluid at all comes out, same with the easi bleed. Think their is still air in since pedal is not quite right but works ok.

Even though I have a pedal now if I try the easi bleed or the traditional method of holding the brake pedal down, opening nipple and closing, apart from the fluid that is in their from reverse bleeding it after that I get nothing and pedal goes floppy.

If you undo the nipple enough it should gravity bleed to a good level without doing anything. Is fluid able to move freely enough for that to happen.

Fill reservoir and open the nipple a good couple of turns and let it sit for an hour or so ( or until you see fluid coming out )

But as said, a simple big syringe and clear tubing is better than most of those bleeding kits, as it lets you see clearly if there is any air, and also lets you bleed forwards or backwards with ease.
And they're dirt cheap.

If you remove the flexi pipe from the T piece thing atop of the box and clamp the hose, can you bleed to that point ? ie to prove the pedal/master side are good ? ie you should be able to get it so the pedal is pretty much rock hard because it cannot move because of the clamped hose.

At least you will know that area is not of concern.

But if you have some pedal, a few full slow pumps, hold pedal down and release the nipple should finalise it. ( maybe repeated 2-3 times )
