Hello all -

I'm in the process of negotiating a new car, and have managed to get a good discount from the dealer as well as BMW FS contributing £4K if I take out PCP.

I don't plan on keeping the PCP, but want to keep the BMW FS discount - does anyone know whether I have to wait to settle beyond the 14 day cooling off period to retain this? I'd presume so, as otherwise haven't taken up the product so equally discount shouldn't apply.

The finance contract I've been provided doesn't actually detail conditions of the discount, it's just already baked into the credit figure.

Thanks in advance.

Just giving this one a bump because I'm curious about what ladderino is doing.

You get to keep the discount. Dealer loses commission.

Indeed. I was told the same. I think there was a 3 or 6 month period post sale where the dealer would lose the commission, which in turn would affect the salesman's commission. I waited and then paid it off after 6 months, after all, I had no reason to shaft the dealer or salesman.

Just done the very same thing with £5K BMW FS discount. No problems at all, cost me 2 days interest which was just over £10.
