Enterprise was really good, easily should have been another couple of series worth

Enterprise was excellent IMO. Like all of them though, needed a few warm up episodes.

Also filmed with HD in mind, and has been on blus for years. And I assume streams available in HD too.

funny that Enterprise gets a mention as I'm currently 3/4 of the way through it - I enjoyed it at the time and, truth be told, I'm enjoying it now. Though (IMO) it's nowhere near as good as DS:9 (but to be fair that's an exceedingly high bar)

I tried watching enterprise a couple of times and just couldn’t get on with it. I didn’t like the characters very much, particularly Phlox (I’ve just had to Google that) and never understood why they’re flying around the galaxy in boiler suits.

I never finished Enterprise when it first aired but rewatched it all last year. The first two seasons aren't great, some real hit-and-miss episodes but 3 and 4 are much better and I agree I wish the planned Season 5 had gone ahead. The last episode wasn't a great send off to the show and really did feel rushed.

The time travel plot overall worked well I thought and I enjoyed the Andorians especially. Jefferey Coombs makes every version of Trek better IMO.

The only one I've not seen back to back now is the original Star Trek and I'll be honest I'm putting off watching it. I've seen loads of the episodes individually but never in order. Not sure how well it's going to hold up.

We watched the original series at the start of the year. First time watching beginning to end for me and first time ever for my partner. It holds up alright for such an old show, the writing and casting was very (whisper it) progressive for the time, as you would expect from Star Trek.

As much as I was/am a big TNG fan, and subsequently a big Enterprise fan, DS9 has some of the best Trek ever put on screen I think. At it's best it was quite grown up and serious (and seriously well acted).

Jeffrey Combs is always watchable but in Enterprise, the Shran story arc just got better and better. Archer's character was changed by his experiences through the seasons from nice and optimistic to quite willing to suffocate an alien in an airlock to get what he wanted from him - mostly subtly done but then all the more powerful when he would lose it.

And I don't know any Enterprise fan who has a good word to say about the final episode. Even the writer said it was a big mistake. Much like the theme tune. hehe

after Enterprise I'll have to start re-watching Voyager - TBH that's one I am quite concerned about. I remember liking large parts at the time but others were just cringe or grated... oh well that's a 'problem' for later.

Voyager is my partner's favourite, I think it has the best crew of any ST series. Some wonderfully weird stories as well.

Voyager is the last one I watched (I did TNG, DS9, Ent then Voy) and I have to say I enjoyed more of it far more than I remembered the first time round. Again, it has it's moments and missed opportunities (never-ending supply of shuttles, bio-mimetic gel packs that get binned off pretty quickly) but some of the guest stars are excellent and it has some brilliant original villains, some of the best of any series.

Very satisfying conclusion as well that obviously ties in nicely to Picard S3 as well.

Must admit that like DS9 I didn't really get into Voyager at the time. I've since revisited DS9 and love it but not done the same with Voyager yet. It always seemed like too close a version of TNG at the time. Is that wrong?

Just finished watching the whole of series 3 over two days.!!

Really good from start to finish!! However can some one clear something up for me....where did the Borg queen come from as I thought that was a mixture of Dr Jurati and the Borg queen at the end of season 2??

Different Borg Queen. If you remember she's found in the alternate timeline Picard gets dumped in by Q. Jurati's version is still around in Season 3 and is actually referenced by Shaw (he says something about the "real" Borg still being out there and not the offshoot that's guarding the anomaly thing). Season 3's Queen is the one from Voyager that future Janeway left infected at the end of Voyager (hence her current state).

The troubles that occur when you try and keep continuity over several series that use time travel with only a vague connection to causality laugh.

Time travel is not the same as alternate timeline/universe, you'd think people might know the difference by now given how many times Trek has used both.

I think there's a lot to be said for just enjoying it for what it is.
