Really enjoying it now, really can't tell where its going next.
Mildly amused to note that the haters are still letting "us" know they hate it. Thanks guys! Also that they spend more of their (presumably) empty lives finding Youtube videos to explain why we shouldn't like it too and then post them on here in some sort of misguided belief that we will watch them.
Spoiler... we won't
Eh? it's obviously headed for a massive pew-pew hyper-colour space battle and phoning up the scary elders. It's a terribly basic and unoriginal story under the thinnest veneer of "mystery"Mildly amused to note that the haters are still letting "us" know they hate it. Thanks guys! Just as a small hint, you complain about haters commenting by commenting yourself. Ironic much?
Episode 10 didn't make a whole lot of sense, and again, wasn't terribly interesting and in places somewhat predictable, but Data's send off was nicely done and it was great to see Captain Riker. Couldn't they have downloaded Data's concious into a new Android though?
I'm sorry to air a negative view again, but I've found Star Trek Picard sort of, unnecessary. I didn't gel with the supporting main cast, it just felt off. It would have probably made an excellent 2 hour TV movie.

9 episodes of the writers really not comprehending the point of Star Trek...and 1 episode where they really did.
Aside from the convoluted and slightly magical Data bit - an excellent Trek episode.
Nice to see Brent Spiner getting what he wanted 24 years ago.
What did he want in 1996?Aside from the convoluted and slightly magical Data bit - an excellent Trek episode.

He wanted him killed off as he did not realistically think that he could go on convincingly playing a synthetic life form that wasn't supposed to age.
Early drafts of Star Trek: Insurrection had Data being killed and the TNG crew investigating his death.
This was later changed and he's great in the rest of the film.
For Star Trek: Nemesis, Spiner was a co-writer and made sure that Data was killed off.
Although he did say that they had a working plan for a sequel to Nemesis that would have brought him back "in some form". (B4)
Unfortunately, Nemesis was so poorly received that it killed the motion picture side of Star Trek, so no sequel would ever be greenlit.

Where does Picard sit in relation to the final TNG episode ‘all good things’
All good things is set 25 years after TNGs 7th season, Picard is set 5 years later than that, or thereabouts. Worth remembering All Good Things was an alternative timeline that clearly didn't happen. cologne2792 said:

She's 31 ! How is this possible ?!I didn’t understand episode 7. None of it made any sense or had any context to the last 6 episodes. We’re in Picard’s head, he’s being chased by a monster.. I know he’s old but his childhood is still 400 years in our future, but looked like it was 400 years ago! Utterly confused as to what was going on.
Episode 8 was good, episode 9 was not.
This season did start off quite strong but it’s been hit and miss since the first couple of episode’s.
As I and others have said before, Patrick Stewart doesn’t convince me with his role/abilities as an actor nowadays. He was an absolute powerhouse in TNG and the movies. His last good performance was Logan but that was years ago now…

I think we all know it's not going to be Pike's Enterprise from The Cage.
1. The Enterprise will look way more High Tech, inside & out.
2. Uniforms will be different.
3. Lots more women on the bridge & in positions of rank.
4. Way more diversity.
5. More Feelings.
6. Non following of established cannon.
7. Etc.
So Trekkies & Trekkers, 2 choices.
Accept it for what it is & watch.
Start getting all angry now in anticipation.
I personally don’t feel like following established cannon on a 60 year old franchise is too important. It just needs to be well written.1. The Enterprise will look way more High Tech, inside & out.

S3 reviews are coming in and mostly mixed to positive. More of a Trek/TNG feel to it, but lack of character development and only the first 6 episodes available to reviewers.
Legacy characters from DS9 and Voyager are now confirmed too. But not revealed yet…
Also in the UK it is now going to be on Paramount + in HD or Amazon Prime in 4k UHD.
