Honestly guys, stop watching Top Gear if it's not really your thing these days. Stop torturing yourself with it! It's over for you. Mainstream motoring programs are, by and large, not for us anymore.
Turn to Youtube. It's absolutely stuffed to the gills with every possible permutation of men f*cking about with cars you can imagine. Whatever your personal predilection, there'll be some guy on Youtube doing it in 4k for free. And yes, I know, there's a lot of absolutely dross you have to wade through to find your thing, but once you find it - it's great!
You like glorious car reviews? Watch Harry's Garage, TheLateBrakeShow, Carfection or Hagerty, or Evo, or Pistonheads
You liked old wheeler dealers but don't like Mike's bits and hate all the fakery? Watch M539Restorations
You like funny adventures? Watch 44Teeth Budget Bike Battles
You like tw@tting around? Watch AutoAlex or CarThrottle
You like two wheels? Watch Fortnine
You like learning secrets of Supercars? Watch DK Engineering TV
You like stars in a reasonably-priced car? I can't help you - you're a psychopath
Seriously - all the stuff you loved about good-old-Topgear is out there. It's just been broken up into its component parts and spread all over Youtube, and is being done by young guys with huge energy and passion. Or just watch the old sh@t on Dave

To the list above, I would add.
You love old cheaper sheds or quirky stuff - Hubnut
You love drag races of old and new cars - Carwow, Saturday 9.30AM.
You love an eclectic mix of 70s onwards popular classics - Number 27 or JayEmm.
You love a cranky American ranting about unreliable German stuff is and how Korean cars are crap - Scotty Kilmer!!!
Carwow is good apart from for some reason they use some guy called Yanni who is a tit. However there’s been some content with Taylor who seems to be Autoalex sidekick.
Another guilty pleasure is Trucker Tim who is annoying in a compelling way but it’s the other guys that make it like Sean Lombardo.

I heard it was a Morgan three wheeler.
According to the Sun it was a three-wheeled cycle car.How true that is, well...
I know he is fearless but there’s come a point where the Top gear folk need to rein him in.
It’s not like they put the other presenters in this type of danger.
I happened to be watching a bit of gogglebox last night and they showed the bit of TG or GT with them doing a run down a long tunnel that ended in a wall. JM got it seriously wrong and hit the wall sideways at some speed.
I would like to have sat in on the risk assessment meeting that gave that the nod. I bet it wasn't a long meeting.

it was The Grand Tour. Wrong thread I would like to have sat in on the risk assessment meeting that gave that the nod. I bet it wasn't a long meeting.

Funny how all those with 'inside knowledge' have disappeared from these pages now there's something concrete to comment on.
Insider knowledge?….don’t know if I’d call it that but I was at Dunsfold picking up a car he was supposed to be driving the day after the crash. A colleague of mine was there on the day, not long after the incident and saw lumps of mud and grass being scooped out off the cockpit of a Morgan. Seems he’s now hit a psychological wall…I suppose it’s not surprising especially as he’s got a wife and 4 kids to think about! I wish him a fast recovery and hopefully we’ll see him back on TG in the near future.Lordbenny said:

I'd much rather really good driving in beautiful places than one of them racing down a hill on something inappropriate.
I wish him well nonetheless.

the thing is that a lot of sportsmen (and non-sporty types too) do seem to have an urge to 'push the envelope' - danger is fun (until it isn't)I don't see why they need to do really dangerous stunts myself.
