Surely the Pontiac is some kind of kit car.
Nope, a hardtop and an angle grinder.

Now the three amigos Clarkson Hammond and May were good, they were great, but they got stale, it was the same old same old everytime, they knew it and got out, the amazon show they do its good...

Topgear lost its way, really lost it but I think this series is back on form, although scripted it has the old banter that the three amigos enjoyed and it somehow feels fresh again... brilliant viewing.

found myself thinking, this road trip would have been much better with clarkson and co. Not that it wasn't good.

My criticisms aside, that was a superb episode. 9/10.

All three episodes have been good so far.

I'd like to see Paddy pull back on some of the language. How many times did he say bellend tonight?

Thought it looked rather dodgy when Paddy was wedging his door open with his leg and hitting it off things. I was soon expecting a broken leg.

Ripping the axle off Paddy's car was a proper laugh out loud moment.

But it makes no, zero, fking noise. Where's the sensory enjoyment in that?
Huh? It sounded like a spaceship! Loved it.

That was pretty enjoyable overall, without necessarily needing to be original or groundbreaking to do so.

The only thing that grates persistently is Harris's horrid, obvious fake/forced laugh. Someone at the BBC needs to send him on an acting course.

Yes, really liked the sound.

Great episode, one of the best.

And I like the fact that they are nice to each other, helping each other out etc

I have the same concern - Looked awesome, love how fast the battery / charging tech is moving on...

...but they leave me cold - no gears, no sound track.. at least it produced some smoke!

Great episode again. What on earth was all that re-bar under Paddy's Pontiac?! Looked proper violent from the in-car hehe

Another excellent episode.

Harris and testing the brakes with Paddy in car was brilliant.

Thumbs up from me.

I was horrified when the new line up was announced, but was very wrong.
I never really liked Flintoff before, but he is so up for stuff (eating pets, bungy jumping cars etc) it’s difficult not to warm to him.
Even Paddy doesn’t grate like I thought he would.
Great TV. I do feel a bit sorry for the audience though as nothing seems to happen at the studio anymore.

I have a theory about eLectric vehicles - well the fast oneA.

They produce no visible drama, but I suspect driving one with 0-100 in 3 seconds would be pretty damn dramatic.

I enjoyed it, but it wasn't that funny. I think they have a good balance now but they need to stop feeding Paddy with orange squash. If he doesn't stop shrieking, he's going to become tiresome.

I do feel it’s odd that people who moan about lack of aural drama usually drive three cylinder shopping trolleys or clattering old diesels.
