An entertaining evening. And some of the cars there were fabulous. One throbber briefly tried to ‘heckle’ but was shamed into silence.

Of all the shows on TV trying to cope with distancing, the idea of a drive-in would seem the obvious and appropriate answer for something like TG. Instead of the obviously-a-model-paid-to-stand-behind-the-sofa backdrop they’ve now got cars.
Surprised they didn’t think of it sooner, pre-Covid, maybe for some of the specials?

Went once, front of the queue, stood at the front until about 20 seconds before filming when we were replaced with much better looking models who kinda appeared from nowhere! Made us laugh and we took it in the spirit. Still a good day out and on reflection I accept it probably made better tv.......

It'd be better for the audience to do this as a permanent thing now, of nothing else rather than just standing around with nothing to do for ages between filming bits it turns the event into a sort of mini car show.

Relating to TG, a heads-up. On Monday evening, 9.00pm BBC1 there is an hour long program. Freddie Flintoff: Living with Bulimia.

Not a condition I knew he has, and it could be an interesting watch.

laugh

Even before it starts you know what is going to be said. It'll be the same people that complain every series.

Covid will get the blame for forcing them to watch again.

Don't forget- ' those 2 muppets can't drive, it's all scripted, Harris, or Monkey to we PHers, is the only one who can peddle ( always spelled this way) a car. I don't watch it anyway. Haven't done since Chris Goffey was on it, etc etc, . '

There you go, no need to watch it now.

I, however, will be watching . I quite like it and the new presenters.

Loking at the trailer, there appear to be a lot of rehashed 'stunts'.
