Have any bookies started taking bets on it quietly moving back to BBC2 for the next series? hehe

Enjoyed it.
Paddy’s hair transplant seems to have taken well.

We really liked it. And i can watch that episode with my boys as well, so very good in my book.

With no 5th gear, no grand tour, etc on terrestial TV (its still a thing) its great to see top gear back. If enly for 5 weeks.a nd it looks likea Diablo gets crashed...

30 minutes of forced drivel.
Agreed. It's such a shame, because I'd actually quite like to have the choice of more than one motoring show to watch. Or be able to watch more than 3 new episodes a year.

But it's just all so obviously lacking in real chemistry or spontaneity, exemplified by Harris's appalling fake laugh.

The premise of the show was stupid, but no more stupid than some of the things that have gone in the past. Although quite obviously doing deliberate damage to a brand new car seemed unnecessary.

There are many things that aren't perfect about Hammond, May and Clarkson - but their relationship and chemistry often masks some of the inadequacies in a way that the TG guys simply cannot.

I’m obviously not the target audience.

Looks like they are aiming at 10 year old boys. 30 minutes of st and piss talk.

Tedious

Great fun for a Sunday night. Watched with my son who’s nearly 13. Got him asking questions about cars etc so all good. The drive in format is fab and should be the de fault for future series and ditch the SIARPC as it’s tired.
Thumbs up from me.

It doesn’t work for me, at all. But, reading this thread, clearly many enjoyed it, which is good. I’m after automotive information, facts and reviews. If I want to watch blokes acting as tts there’s always love island.

Hmmm, now where did I see 24 hours in a car challenge before

That’s it, on the Car Throttle channel, those young blokes are so much more entertaining.

My wife normally has no time for TG, this evening she was sniggering throughout. There’s your target audience right there, not a bunch of middle aged anoraks who want to see how to recore a radiator or the best way to fit a new door card to Triumph Stag.

Alex Kersten noticed it too on Instagram. Their podcast could be interesting in a few weeks hehe

That Ferrari isn't exactly pretty, it's more a game of spotting how many other brands styling you can spot in it.
Corvette is a strong contender.

Nail on head right there -we have YouTube for that-and at least it’s isn’t Chris fking evans presenting !!
I liked Matt Leblanc ,but that one series with evans was excruciating.
I like the current trio.
I would like more proper reviews, but at least it isn’t clarkson and co smashing up nice old cars for the sake of it...

Didn't Hammond do it years ago in a Smart car?

edit - yes, in 2004.

Well that seems about a 25/75 split ‘that was ok’/‘that was complete garbage’... so we can look forward to the 75% tuning in next week for another grumble.

Very very good, great piece of entertainment for a Sunday night.

Strange that I came out of that more impressed with the Volvo than the SP90?
