It would have been better not to have two Audis but I was surprised the Urus was that quick.
2 Audis?Audi own Lamborghini and while they danced round it a bit, both cars use basically the same Audi engine, the twin turbocharged 4.0 V8 and both have four wheel drive.

Wife and I had a few chuckles, my 15yo daughter was in hysterics, I think that confirms the appeal of much of the humour. But it is one of the very few programmes we watch as a family and (mostly) all enjoy. And it has cars and driving so I’ll watch it anyway regardless. At least it isn’t celebrity / talent show / reality type bks, or a ‘vehicle’ to publicise Little Mix (HTF did that get to be prime time? ). IMO McGuiness needs to cut out a lot of the shouting, but he’s there to appeal to the mainstream viewers and ‘banter’ is a big part of his on-screen persona.

Week 1. Crap. Better in the middle (Ferrari)
Week 2. Great
Week 3. Average start, sliding down to a crap end (ski slope, handing back the rentals).
I watched the first week on the Sunday night, iPlayered 2 and 3.
Its a pastiche of the Clarkson/May/Hammond era. The scripted running gags like Coutts card are dire, but it's watchable. The trouble this week was that none of the 3 cars were appealing in the slightest, and if you have 3 cars taking up most of the screentime, they need to be interesting.Week 2. Great
Week 3. Average start, sliding down to a crap end (ski slope, handing back the rentals).

I can certainly see the fact that it's presented by three British, white males causing senior BBC management serious concerns. In fact I am amazed that they show it!
Is Chris Harris white?Serious question.

Now you mention it I've no idea.
I read this thread again this week and it's just a rehash of last week's thread. This thread was better earlier in the year when the quality of comment was better. You may ask why am I coming on PH and commenting on this thread if I am not happy the quality of the thread and just complaining about how the thread used to be better and more constructive when I could just ignore the thread, but I am hoping that one day the thread will get better again and return to its previous quality.
Just in case...

In the build up to the water skiing segment, they mentioned that Harris spent his younger years in the carribean. Thought I'd give it another try based on the recent comments here, so tuned in on Sunday night.
Old rehashed ideas (Hire car is the fastest type of car - isn't this a joke from the eighties?) and I still don't sense any kind of camaraderie between them, just seem like 3 individuals told to act 'matey'. And I know CH is there as the 'car guy' but god he's dull!
Fell asleep before the end, wont be bothering again.

Is anyone else slightly concerned by the number of people who fall asleep at the drop of a hat?

If it was happening to me, I'd be making an appointment with my GP.
Even more worrying, considering how "shouty" some people think the programme is."I'm not mentally stimulated. The only alternative is to slip into unconsciousness."
If it was happening to me, I'd be making an appointment with my GP.
