Bentley what a car who doesn’t want a 12 cylinder in their lives.
It is an aweome engine. When all 12 cylinders contribute under load it is like God being angry.

Anybody know if Moss's blue Ferrari was ever made?
I don’t believe so. Would have been a 156 and a 250 GTO

That Bentley was great.

Highlighted perfectly to me why Bentley are (were before the pandemic) doing so well and Aston are struggling.

On the subject of Moss, I once read regarding the side panels on his Lotus at Monaco that one fell off and he left it off. Perhaps that was in practice rather than the race. Anyone know the correct story?

Portmeirion, the roads of North Wales, Anglesey circuit... they could have pretty much done anything and I would have enjoyed it just based on locations.

Great hour of tv.

I think anyone who complains about that is just very unhappy with their life in general.

For the next big race on the calendar (Silverstone International Trophy) they sent over a 156 to be entered by BRP and it had a green stripe to represent Moss' BRP colours. It was driven by Innes Ireland to 4th place. Although much fuss has been made about SCM's chances of winning the title that year, the truth is that the 1962 Ferrari was a warmed-over 156 from the previous year and was not competitive. Moss' genius would have won him a couple of races on drivers' circuits but otherwise he would have been up against the power of the BRM and the nimbleness of Clark's Lotus.

Good tele that. I think they've found the right balance now. Funny at times, great camera work (as always) and I never felt the need to fast forward.

Bentley - jeez it's ugly, but what a machine.
Aston - jeez it's ugly. Interior trim like a dated driving glove. Looks like a Kuga. What is happening in the world of cars where this is considered 'a good thing'.
McLaren - yes please.

Stirling Moss tribute - excellent.

Flintoff - not wired up right.

How fast are drones?!

Zip wire - do it now. What an experience.

Good episode. Very enjoyable.

A lot better this week. Less boorish Fred and impressed with Paddy getting within 10 secs of the Germans.

Much better.

Anyone know what drones they are using to get those great shots? Looks like the sort of footage from a racing drone but higher quality.

Is "the Aston" a metaphor for "Paddy"?

Yes it's a truly horrible thing, like most SUVs, no idea what the attraction is to them, we were away recently and the hotel car park was full of anonymous, horrid look-a-like SUVs. Luckily my GT improved the car park and judging by the number of (mostly male) double takes it was at least liked by a few, it does make me despair at the current car buying Joe Public

I really enjoyed the show. The Stirling Moss piece was fabulous, but the GT car section had some real funny moments too (Flintoff eating the banana). And overall felt much less forced and contrived than the last episode.

It seems to me they chose the DBX over the DBS and the Mulsanne over the Continental because if they'd gone for 'actual' British GTs, they wouldn't have found 3, and they wouldn't have found three German comparisons.

Contrived, but fun.

I have no interest in motor racing round a circuit but I appreciated the Moss bit, and I'm sure CH got a kick out of driving that Lotus.

Oh, and Paddy: STOP fkING SHOUTING. You're not nine any more, and we're already paying attention.

You bellend.

Sounds like he was on a promise though, so well-motivated.
