A lot better this week. Less boorish Fred and impressed with Paddy getting within 10 secs of the Germans.
Am I the only one that looked at that and thought.....Jimmy Hill.HHF looked like he was really committed and powersliding round corners in the Audi. Comparatively the 'fat' comedian has no natural driving ability in any episode that I've seen so far that I'd put a minor amount of money on me beating him and I'm a rubbish driver*. I suspect being beaten by 'Ze Germans' would be a step too far.
- To qualify that statement I manged 1.47 in a reasonably priced car round their track

Good episode though, enjoyed it.

Of course it was scripted 'drama'. Just like the Porsche and Bentley laptimes being identical. And just like CH&M did too.Are the people who think this is real clicking on every "reset your payment details" email they get too?

Is that what they cost. Oh dear.
Actually, that may have been the Bentley But even so....

That Lotus was stunning - what a beautiful machine. Does anyone know if it was the "real thing" (I suspect so as CH appeared to be being relatively careful).
As for Flintoff - seriously does he know what fear is? I'd crap my pants on the roof of a car at a sedate pace, let alone that
I'd agree on the Aston Martian - what an awful, bland looking thing (as are almost all SUVs).

Oh, and Paddy: STOP fkING SHOUTING. You're not nine any more, and we're already paying attention.
You bellend.
I can't help thinking that PM genuinely doesn't like CH. I might be wrong but when he's throwing 'funny' quips at him there always seems to be a bit of school bully needle thrown in there for good measure. You bellend.
Not a nice man.

Another enjoyable hour of TV on a Sunday night. I did like the Bentley and found the Stirling Moss tribute very good. I think I read somewhere that Tony Brooks is now the only living Grand prix driver who raced in the 1950's but I might have misread it.
There's a reason for that. He was an enigma in a way - a GP driver who valued his own life and thought of his family. Still blindingly fast but oh so smooth. Never took unnecessary risks and lives today. His autobiography "Poetry in motion" is a cracking read and reveals what it was like in those days.Crossflow Kid said:
A good episode and one that went quite quickly which is always a counter-intuitively good sign.
If I spent £170k on an Aston I’d want it to look a bit less like a Ford though...
Waiting until I see a Ford Kuga with an aftermarket Aston Martin badge now bit like the Chrysler 300's you sometimes see with Bentley badges! If I spent £170k on an Aston I’d want it to look a bit less like a Ford though...
Uncannily like the Kuga that DBX, it's quite funny! Poor Aston, what has happened to the brand.

It's very much the real thing. There's even an entire book about that one chassishttps://porterpress.co.uk/collections/all-books/pr...
I enjoyed last night's episode.
Not a massive Harris fan tbh but he's been more my cup of tea this series.
Did notice that when Harris and Flintoff where doing a piece together it seemed kinda awkward??
McGuinness really does need to stop shouting now, it's gone from annoying to just plain boring!! Think he is the glue though.

Where they were waiting at the bottom of the hill for Paddy? If so, yes - it jarred with me too.It comes back to the point I've made previous (so I won't bang on), that the guys have a long way to go before their on-screen chemistry is believable for me.
At least they admit covid19 has buggered up the whole series plan.
The whole seasons budget just went on the wall of death. Everything else is just the usual but with extra modest effort and imagination.
Bit silly telling everyone to go to wales and thrash about instead of their usual holidays.
There are not that many roads in wales so it will be a log jam of idiots everywhere.
Passes the time I guess. Maybe last one will be a blockbuster.

Even sillier considering Wales is under lockdown and doesn't want any outside visitors at all.The whole seasons budget just went on the wall of death. Everything else is just the usual but with extra modest effort and imagination.

As for the episode, best of the CH/PM/FF era so far imo.
