I had a genuine laugh out loud moment when Flintoff said why would he move to Germany for sausage when he can get Richmonds in Asda. Mainly because I could hear myself saying that. No idea if that was scripted or not but it felt absolutely genuine in the moment, I think you'd see through their acting in those moments if it was all word for word scripted, as comedic acting is extremely difficult to do well.
That was either unscripted or well acted by Flintoff, made me chuckle either way.

As I've said before, hopefully the team will get a chance to continue for a good few years and grow into their roles/the programme.
I think even c70r would agree that not every word is scripted.

I'm not so sure, he loves an argument, that one....!

I missed TG this week and it doesn't appear to be on I Player as of last night. Does anyone know if its repeated on BBC2, or perhaps I have missed that as well.

What, even though he has repeatedly and vociferously told us that it is 100% scripted, to the tiniest detail?

IIRC it's repeated Tuesday evening, maybe 7? With the move to BBC1 this could have changed mind.

You'll surely have no issue pointing out where I said it was "100% scripted".

Unless you're making stuff up because, for some odd reason, you're as crestfallen as when you discovered that the tooth fairy wasn't real. laugh

You're aware that all if this is meticulously, painstakingly scripted, right?
In the same post you also said:
It worked better for CH&M because they'd known each other for years...but it was still 100% scripted.
a short while later you said:
Top Gear, both new and old is incredibly tightly scripted.
The bold type was added by me, but the bullst is all yours.

Hoisted by my own petard, it seems.

Hyperbole always comes back to bite us on the backside.

For the avoidance of doubt, I don't believe it's 100% scripted word-for-word. I was being hyperbolic. The number is probably closer to 98%.

Which Clarkson has taken the piss out of numerous times due to the amount of agonising he did over the script.

I think the sausages joke was ofcourse scripted, unless you're assuming Flintoff doesn't know Germany do sausages better than we do.

So which bits of the programme are the 2%?

Oh FFS, stop bickering and critique the actual content.

Not sure why they used the cars they did however, a DBS and Conti GT would have made more sense.
Likely because they were the cars that the manufacturers would pay them (or give and insure them for free) to promote.
Im suprised its on BBC as a lot of it is just advertising . Like a tv argos catalog for a bored footballers weekly wage packet.

The latest episode has been my least favourite of the lot, and it didn't engage me like it usually does. I might give it another whirl though, because I've really enjoyed this series overall.
