I have been a fan of the new trio but this series is the weakest by far with few highlights worth watching.

Probably because they are meant to have a number of advantages over traditional mirrors.

Why they only seem to stick them on electric cars if that is the case, I have no idea.
Merc trucks got them too
Yes I know-I’ve overtaken a few at night in my lorry-the slab sized screen on the A pillars look dreadful.
Technology for the sake of it.

HaVe to say most pointless TG episode in years. Told us so little about the e cars.

The nippy was pointless. Looked like fun to be involved in, but utter balls as a feature.

I’ve never slagged off a TG episode before.

It was dreadful IMO. Id wanted to see the electric car review but got nothing from it other than a mini is fastest around Alton Towers. FFS
It was between Top Gear and the F1 highlights. After Max crashed out I switched to Family Fortunes.

How much fuel saving per year by not having to push huge truck mirrors through the air?
Not to mention the cost of replacing them when they get damaged.

I get that COVID has put paid too any road trips but, dear god, tonight’s episode was utter dross.

The ice cream van segment would have been ok had they stopped at Blackpool. However they took it too far.

And the electric bit was equally as dull.

Could do better. Need too do better in 2021.

Only caught bits of it while getting the kids to bed and making dinner.

Don’t think I’ll bother watching it on catch up.

I’d rather watch an hour of Harris walking round the audience car park talking about the most interesting stuff there.
Looked like some nice cars there, one thing top gear is missing is the news and cool wall. No idea what new cars are coming out any more. And the second half of ice cream van around the training ground - YAWN, have some eastenders writers moved to topgear? Repeat, repeat, repeat.

Big fan of TG but that was a very weak episode. The producers need shooting wasting those guys growing dynamic on an episode like that. The ev test was a laugh, mini is a car I will consider in a few years, but the rest...

I can’t remember the last time I smashed a mirror-at least ten years ago
Have you seen one of the mirrorless mercs?-they still have the camera jutting out on a big arm-I’ll bet that they cost a hell of a lot more to replace.
When the mirror cam malfunctions-and it will-it means stopping until Mercedes come out-can’t fix it and you get towed back on a wrecker...
