Not got to the cheap car challeneges on old top gear
Currently season 2 episode 5 on bbc iplayer. Think when the challenges come then ill be like everyone else saying top gear is nothing like the olden days.

Angela Rippon and Tom Coyne.
The halcyon days of Top Gear were arguably those that featured Woollard, Goffey, Mason, Clackerbag, Needell, Wilson, and that boring bird with the glasses.

Throwing milk over the inside of the Mercedes, though, was puerile in the extreme, and showed a lack of respect for whoever has to clean the car and/or drive it home.
Got a link to their justgiving page?

That's how they draw you in. Always make the first and last episodes strong and then they can put all the st in the other ones. They have been doing this with Albums for years.

I wasn't going to bother watching this series until a friend messaged me saying you must watch it. I did and it was a reasonable episode, especially being an F1 fan and remembering Eddie Kidd as a, er Kid. I am not in a hurry to watch this week's.

The fact is McGuiness, Harris & Flintoff are "Virgin Cola", whilst Clarkson, Hammond & May were "The Real Thing"....! wink

After a glitch on iPlayer yesterday, I finally got to watch this, anticipating a cataclysmic failure

However, I quite enjoyed it and watched it start to finish which is more than I ever did with the CHM troughs with their crap CGI fires and wanton and joyless crashing.

Janet Trewin perchance? I seem to remember she did all the serious stuff about road safety, falling asleep at the wheel etc.

If I want to learn about a certain car I'm interested in buying, I'll type it into YouTube and immediately have access to numerous professional and ameatur reviews. I suspect Top Gear saw that future coming and that's why it was reinvented as an entertainment show with a bit of car stuff thrown in.

The current format works great for me. I watch it with the children, it's innofensive and they like the silly stuff, but it occasionally has interesting car stuff on too.

Yes, that was her. She did all the boring crap that nobody was the least bit interested in.

Where last week was a 9/10, this week was a 2/10. Spitting milk all over the interior of the 60 grand Merc was ridiculous, and just destructive, plain and simple.

The zorb rubbish was like something from CBBC.

Harris is letting the other 2 morons drag him down and ruin his reputation, IMO.
100% agree. All the forced 'ladz bantz' is absolutely cringeworthy.

Average episode, but looked like they enjoyed themselves.

When is paddy going to embrace the fact he is so thin on top he should give in and just buzz what little is left off?
