Brave to attempt a 3 way Lorry driving film. I'm looking forward to the Crown Vic race at the Freedom Factory.

I'm looking forward to the Dodge Charger Hellcat. The rest is a bit predictable...

Replace McGuinness with Top Gear Magazine’s Jack Rix and I think you'd have a better trio.

His Youtube videos for Top Gear are very watchable.
While clearly a much much better motoring journalist, do you think he could do the "banter" and silly challenges with the others which must be what the BBC wants.

There is a lot of great car stuff on YouTube, the important function TopGear performs is to show that in an age where being anti-car is fashionable, it's still OK to love cars.

And arguable much of it in YouTube is 'better', Carfection in particular is fantastic (to me at least).

What the BBC want for TG and what I’d want to see are sadly miles apart these days.

I wonder if they’re more interested in the export market than they are about the home viewers.

Always been the case I think - it's a Global brand and terribly important to the Beeb in terms of revenue

The content in that trailer looks great with some terrific vehicles - new and old. But I totally get the point about the presenters, especially McGuinness. Either you like people or you don't. I don't find him a problem - so I'm looking forward to it.

I was watching one of those old Top Gear episodes c. 2013 iirc which featured a piece on all the cars we manufacture in Britain, featuring Triumphs, Honda, Land Rover Defenders, Nortons etc. Oh… 😧

Hey, if it pays the bills so they can continue to make excellent TV like Homes Under the Hammer then I’m all for it

That's quite something. Sounds like he had a crash course in presenting property shows.

Right Dion, don't just walk in and say here's the lounge, here's the kitchen, here's the stairs, guide the viewer with how they're used, where they go, you could say something like here are the stairs going up to the bedrooms, understand?

Still, preferable to Paddy. smile

1 hour and 10 minutes since confirming the start date and nobody has said they won't be watching it yet.

That must be a PH record?
