Glad they're gone but can't help feeling they were going home sooner but the tv people kept them in for an extra couple of days. I'm not accepting the random generosity of the lady who turned up and bought these two breakfast, gave them a lift for hundreds of miles and a hotel for the night all while being followed by a camera vehicle.

Yeh that was odd... almost as if the producers bunged her some money and free advertising ... hehe

Well that was a bit dull.

Ladi and Wotsit for the win. I'm struggling to warm to the others.
Feel a bit sorry for the daughter and dad, they were unlucky, while others got lifts they seem unable to.

i quite like the Doctors too!

Literally just caught up on this episode and completely agree, no way you rock up at a random carpark and take 2 randoms all over the place and buy them food and a hotel.

My feeling is the producers said here's $500 go and sort these 2 out for some TV and we will get a shot of your shop and half the UK will fly over and clear you out smile

Had to rewind but heard the guy offering a lift on the ferry say "are you part of the group travelling" when he gave the other dad and daughter a lift, I'm guessing its been advertised over there for people to know.

Not seen a thread on this, this series has become TV I've looked forward to. I'd watched the first 2 series, thought getting across Canada was a bit of a vanilla choice compared to the others but no doubt the decesion was aided by the Covid situation. I've enjoyed it all the same.

The father and daughter were doomed to failure spending all their money on taxis.. .

I thought they made a tanoy announcement on the ferry, hence the remark by the guy offering the lift.

They did, the teams have done this a few times on the trip.

Ah yes I remember that, I may have been looking into it too much, just seemed the way he said it, I guess when there is a guy with a TV camera there too then it gives it away smile

I just really enjoyed series one and feel its slipped of a little

This series has been terribly poor in both general content and continuity. Choosing just one country, but with very limited opportunities for any variation, only made it more boring.

They really ramped the tension up in that last episode.
Either way the ladies or the drs would have been worthy winners.
It would have been interesting to know how far apart they were though, I don't think they mentioned it unless I missed it.

So much of this was down to the wonderful hospitality and kindness/generosity of the Canadian people.
Wonder how it would have panned out with a group of English contestants travelling across France?

Much the same I suspect, unless you reside in a PH Brexit group.

I'm glad they won.
It got a bit dusty at the finish.

Loved the earlier seasons but bored of this one and gave up in the end

The combination of a single, English speaking first world country wasn’t ever going to be as diverse or as interesting as previously but add to that rules around hitch-hiking and sending them to checkpoints with one way in and one way out and it was just not interesting enough

A shame really…
