Trailer looks good, already looks like a lot of locations though which usually means a struggle to follow what’s going on.
I hope they aren’t simply going for big WOW locations to hide the fact the story is rubbish! I felt they tried to make each episode a trilogy in itself with regards to sets, which meant a whole convoluted story to weave each location into some sort of narrative.
Just watched the trailer and yes it looks impressive, but with modern effects they always do. The locations looked interesting to be, the "ice asteroid", the star destroyer apparently coming out of the sea etc.
As I've said before I'll go and see it at the cinema, but I'm damned if I'm giving Disney any ammo for first weekend opening metrics. I'll see it over the 2nd week I imagine.
The high point for Disney was Rogue One, Force Awakens was good, yes it was a rehash of Ep4, but I can live with that. Unfortunately they threw all the good set up away with TLJ, which was st even without all the SJW crap.
Tip for Disney, if you're gonna do a trilogy, at least have the same person write the whole thing!

To be fair that isn't something that can be said of all modern blockbusters. Credit where credit is due the Disney Star Wars often look stunning and many of the shots also look like Star Wars (in a way the prequel trilogy did not). It is just a shame it is all in the service of a story that is often so empty (mainly looking at you TLJ)chris4652009 said:

Someone needs to make a Spec Savers booking pronto.

To be honest, they’re a nostalgia trip for me and I don’t care about switching my brain off to enjoy them-folk getting upset about space bombs in a fantasy film is laughable in itself!
