Heading to the cinema in a minute, 9 hour session watching TFA, TLJ and the new one!
My local had to add another triple bill screening and that one is now pretty full too.
.... may the force be with you - especially having to watch TLJ again - hate leads to the darkside.... rider73 knows this but doesnt care....My local had to add another triple bill screening and that one is now pretty full too.
I'm going in about an hour. however I've seen the reddit leaks and know they are accurate.
it's gonna be a trash fire but going for the laughs.
sad, as I'm a massive star wars fan and this trilogy has been a disaster because Disney assumed it didn't matter what they made, it'll make money, I'm glad it's blown up in their face. maybe they'll try a bit harder next time.

Bleurgh.
People get so het up about this stuff these days. I'm getting visions of all these people clinging to their emotional support geckos and screaming for Mother in the cinema.
As long as it has some pew pew action and some imaginative vistas that'll do me. It's not like you're paying thousands to see it.

Funny how it doesn't work both ways, isn't it?
The critics generally loved Last Jedi so they were wrong and in Disney's pocket.
The critics appear to be less than enthusiastic about Rise of Skywalker, so yep, good job people.
For the record I'm 6 hours in to the triple bill at my local Odeon and I stand by my opinion that Last Jedi is a much better film than Force Awakens. Long term I'm fairly confident it will be the highest regarded film of the trilogy.

Interesting that we are getting apparently negative reviews (not read any, avoiding until I've seen it) for this one but TLJ had largely positive reviews.
Is that because reviewers are now being honest as there are no more main trilogy films and you need to be on-side to get early access? or because everyone is wanting to hate this?

Come on then, has anyone seen it yet?
Is it "Phantom menace" s**te, "The Force Awakens" utter sh**te, "Solo a Star Wars Story" moderate "Star Wars A New Hope" good or "Rogue One" Superb...
I watched Rogue One again twice on ITV 1 over the weekend. I have it on DVD, but the adverts didn’t seem to bother me. Shoot me down..... but I genuinely think Rogue One stands alongside the original trilogy in terms of quality..... Personally, I’d rate it alongside ESB. There you go..... said it! Just got in from the triple bill.
It's my least favourite of the 3, but it's perfectly fine and does bring the saga to a close. Certainly nothing to get angry about, more important things in life, I'm sure there will be entire rants about a 0.5 second scene near the end but that's the world we live in.
I will say, for a film at pains to take us on a greatest hits tour (locations, characters and machinery) there are no 'wow' moments. The 'on your left' scene in Endgame still gives me goosebumps but this simply didn't have that impact.
