Yeah could be good, I'll be damned if I'm signing up to Disney-Player or whatever it's called to watch it though. The Mandalorian

At least the bmw 8 series brave pill went down well I suppose.

i think its the opposite though and we all achieved a little too much and now are generally dissatisfied with what we have
To be honest TLJ is the first Star Wars movie I've watched where I've come away from it a bit disappointed.
The Force Awakens I thought was solid, introduced some new characters which were building up. The Last Jedi shat all over that and in the end didn't feel like a Star Wars movie.
I am hopeful with the same director as TFA that we get something that links the three later movies with the original trilogy.
Don't forget that other supposedly dead characters in the Star Wars franchise didn't actually die. Darth Maul appearing in Solo being one who has a back story that he survived being cut in half! The Emperor having been behind things all along would be a neat twist (IMO).
I find it odd that people moan about thew new films for not being like the old ones, then gets slated when they put things in that are so directly related to the originals.
I'm still open minded after the last main movie, so I'm looking forward to this.

I wonder if/when it'll be available in the UK? Disney plus will have all the other stuff though, so for me, it'll be worth it just for the MCU stuff. To be honest, it's not an anti-Disney stance per-se, although I dislike paying a lot for a little bit of content I won't and a lot of expensive content I won't.
I'm not really into Disney and no amount of unlimited access is going to make me want to watch Jungle Book again or whatever and I won't pay £15 a month to watch the Star Wars live-action thing because I know I'll end up paying it for years always saying "I must get around the cancelling that" when it ends.
More than that I was and am a huge fan of streaming, I did away with Sky because it was getting a bit stupid at £90 a month or whatever. I bought myself an Apple TV, a NowTV sub and a Netflix sub and was very happy for a while, but TV has always been a cut-throat business and with more platforms launching and a lot more in the pipeline, if you must have the option to watch 'everything' then it gets very messy - you'll need 5 or more paid-for streaming services and probably half as many devices because they'll all fighting not only for your business, but to stop you using anyone else's.
The only logical conclusion I could come to was that you can't want everything you want to these days, unless you want to pay for a lot of stuff you don't want to and mess around with a not of tech, most of it pretty cheap and nasty to use.
I've cancelled prime now GT has ended, I don't know if I'll bother renewing if/when it comes back, I'll keep with NowTV even though I know sometimes I have to wait 24/48 hours to watch something and I'm stuck with 1080p (that's only just been upgraded from 720) even though it wouldn't take Sky any effort to upgrade to 4K, they'd just rather you pay £50 a month for Q. Netflix can stay because it's mostly brilliant and I'll live with the fact that I don't want to pay Virgin an extra £15 a month for the better TV package so I can watch Car SOS, I'll have to wait till it's on C4.

I don't really understand the talk about Rey's parents?
The force is not hereditary? Her parents do not have had to be jedi for her to be one.
I think there some people are upset because Rey's parents was set up to be a bit of a mystery in Ep 7 and then Kylo just flippantly said they're nobody in 8The force is not hereditary? Her parents do not have had to be jedi for her to be one.
I'm also of the opinion that there's a scenario everyone's missed, that ties both together - Kylo Lied!

Depends on the price, and I do like like Disney, but I wouldn't pay for Disney alone, but now Disney have Marvel, Pixar, their own stuff, SW, and now Fox!A draw thatb would get me would be the original three films, Star Wars, EMpire and Jedi in their unfked forms.
Plus the MCU telly series.
I was disappointed with TFA as it was basically a retread of Star Wars. Harrison Ford looked disinterested and Carrie was without passion. For a film basically looking to hit the beats of the earlier films it was a dreadful mistake to have the lead villain without mask so early in the film.
Especially given that Adam Driver looks more new romantic than space villain. Oscar Isaac doesn't come over as vaguely leading man material and both Finn and Rey are forgettable. The totally pointless screen death of 70's boyhood hero Han Solo. Who could have gone out in a Millenium Falcon blaze of glory but instead gets skewered by Spandau Ren and falls off a gantry.
TLJ was awful. I vividly recall groaning in disbelief at the Leia popping scene. Luke milking the space cow ( a scene where the director truly demonstrates his contempt for the fan base) The dreadful casino planet.
Worse than all of that, the waste of a villain established in the previous film. Then the total character change of Luke. Who leaves a map to his location, despite not wanting to be found. Calls a light sabre a laser sword and tries to kill his nephew for having naughty thoughts.
Not the Luke established in the previous films. Shat on so the director could posture at being clever and brave. The Phantom Menace at least had some kudos for the light sabre battle at the end. I'd hoped for something special with Luke. The film cheated the audience out of that as well. A truly dire Star Wars film. The worst in the series.
The current crop of characters have widely captured no ones imagination. I can see why they will be looking to retire the franchise cinematically for a while.

I thought TFA was pretty solid if not brilliant- basically a rerun of ANH, but a safe way to introduce the trilogy. Rey was a good character in the first film IMO, she had a carefree irreverent vibe that worked well, there were lots of great moments (finding the millenium falcon stands out) and Kylo Ren was absolutely awesome for a good solid fifteen mins or thereabouts... then it all went a bit JJ Abrams with lots of "Mystery boxes" and an ending that demanded a resolution, but apparently never had one planned.
As much as I hate TLJ, I can at least imagine the frustration of being left that ending as a starting point, but the dogs breakfast that followed seemed like the workings of a pissed off director/scriptwriter who had been handed a trap and threw a tantrum in response.
Of the original cast, only Mark Hamill seemed to show up and they basically butchered his character for a bit before killing him off in a nonsensical way,
I am curious as to how they will try to recover the plot, but not so curious as to cough up for the privilege, as opposed to Infinity War's sequel which I can't wait to see.

I forgot to complain about the new trilogy's Boba Fett- Captain Phasma. What a total waste of a character and an idea.
To me it seemed like Johnson took delight in throwing cues from the first film into the dustbin. Givem the level of alleged interference from Disney in Rogue One and Solo, I'm amazed they let TLA happen.
