Watching now with my dad who is v ill.
He loves the programme.
I know there wont be many times i can sit with him like this so sad but special time. The power of old cars hey.
Hi David,
Very kind of you to post. I am touched by your note which I have shared with the rest of the crew and with Derek et all. Your dad has seen what we have learned, that behind this little car show are peoples fond memories, remembering happy days and reflecting on times gone by.
I am so pleased you and your dad are able to just enjoy watching it together, share those good memories - and this special time.
Thank you again - and very best wishes from all of us.

My dad passed this morning and i will watch the show tonight with a stiff drink in hand.

I am in bits but he is at peace now i suppose.

Of all the cars he had he would always bang on about his anglia . I suppose it was special as he courted my mum in that car and they travelled all over in it.
So bangers and cash will be my tonic tonight.

Likewise but with a bottle of red. My dad passed 14 years ago but he got me into cars. Took me to the British GP at Brands in 66. I was standing at the top of Paddock Hill bend and I asked him why the cars were going so fast.
“They’re racing cars, son. That’s what the do”
Dads are special. You have my condolences

Even the owner is calling it a VX90. Did Vauxhall change the full title?

Thanks for the comments . And how prophetic that there is an anglia on tonights show. Plus his close brother had a 2.3 vauxhall, estate version, the same as the police car that my dad used to use.

Doubt it, have only ever known it as a VX 4/90.

Hi David, I am so sorry to hear your news but thank you for telling us.
My feeling is everyone who reads your message will know what you are feeling right now.
We are all watching with you - and those of us with a glass in hand will I am sure raise it in memory of your dad.
Very best wishes

Greatly enjoying this new series - same banter, cozy viewing, interesting old cars and people. Nice to see the RS Spider finally come up - always admired these and the money is pretty strong now.

Was the guy with the MGF’s hoarding them thinking they’re going to go up in value?....

That wasn't a VX4 90 though it was a Victor 2300.

I know Derek was calling it a Victor 230 but the owner was calling it a 90, hence the confusion.

That's the sort of woman I like!
