He's absolutely the worst and most useless of all of them.

It would be a shame if that Escort gets turned into another rally car.

Went on the trailer filthy and came off clean.

Cannot remember the last time I seen a Fiesta 1.4S, rare little car.

Capri made strong money as did the Escort which sadly I suspect will end up as a rally car.

I never knew the Austin Healey 100/6 was the best, looked a good usable car however.

Did laugh at that electric thing, got bid to £2500 and he wanted more ended up selling it for £800

I'd love to see someone turn the escort into a q car road car. Keep it looking as standard as possible but a modern engine, decent brakes and suspension. Surprise a few people

That’s happened more than once during this series, putting a lot through again doesn’t seem to attract a higher bid

Yep.
I can think of only one occasion with watching the repeats, that a car went through a couple of months later and got a better bid. Pretty much they usually get bid a lot less.
That Mk1 Zephyr convertible was the one that I remember got bid to only a couple of k below reserve, and the next time, it was about 8k below reserve and he ended up taking the second lower bid.......probably kicking himself to death in the process.

I suspect whoever bought is now trying to find the person who bid £2500

Happened twice last night - the chap selling the old tanker got bid to (I think) £9500, didn't take it, then it only got to about £8500 the second time around, so he had it back.

And he acknowledged from the outset that the market would be limited for it.

He looked to have a huge, eclectic collection of vehicles at his place too

It's not generally considered to be the best big Healey. Poorly designed inlet manifold/head, drum brakes on the front - both addressed by the 3000 Mk1 as well as getting a larger engine. But it seemed to me to be a good price (from the buyer's pov).

Utterly staggered at the money that Mk2 Escort fetched. More money than sense imo.

My post was slightly tongue in cheek and aimed a little at Derek, no way on this earth is the 100/6 the best.

I think that recent Cossie going for over £600k iirc will just add fuel to the overpriced Ford market.

At least Derek's bit about whoever might be interested in the electric car would be a weirdo made Mrs PB chuckle. I'd already declared I'd buy it for the plate.

Mind you, I'd prefer 986 rather than 686 for ultimate geek-plate points.

He did concede later that maybe someone would have it for the plate.

It occurred to me you could keep the Capri a 1.6 but with a Fiesta Zetec S lump in it for a bit of extra poke. May have been done already. Though I suppose you may as well put an ST170 lump in if you're going to that trouble.

Took a Fiesta 1.4S in last year against a mark one Fiesta Super Sport. It was white with red decals, had two owners and full history from new, 61,000 miles and was immaculate. Priced it at £7,995, expecting to have to reduce it, but I took a deposit within four hours of it going live. I could have sold it a dozen times. I clearly slipped up there but they are a bit modern for me so I didn't know much different, I made a reasonable profit and I was happy.

2 door so always going to be desirable. I sort of hope it stays standard though, but I bet it is probably a rally rep already.

My mate reckons that Capri has been on the restorers show last year
