I too have enjoyed the series so far, helped possibly by having been there a couple of times.
Gets very busy on auction day and it can be difficult to view on the day but not impossible, just need to catch one of the many assistants who are always helpful. Easier viewing at the garage side than the Village Hall side I'd say.
Find prices can be a little high when you add the buyers fee on but on the whole a great day out even if you come away empty handed rather than empty walletted....
Oh and a cup of tea is really too cheap!

Oh and the young lady on the desk sounds nowt like that lass on BBC breakfast!

Thank you all once again for encouragement and very good points. I will post something about this weeks show soon. I need to watch it to remind myself.
I know we had some fun with it, features a classic Moskvich 412 in cold war beige among many others.....
As Derek says "There's someone for everything" - it brought back a lot of fond memories.

It's nice to see a thread for a motoring show that isn't ripping it to pieces, so you must be doing something right !

Used to go in the Beaufort quite a lot, was my grandparents choice of country pub (they lived in St Thomas). I'm from Dunvant originally and spent a lot of time crawling around the 'mile' or in Bentleys. Sadly it's not a patch on what it was in the 80's.

And much appreciated feedback it is too. I am sharing it with the channel and they have embraced that being genuine about it is the key.

In this week show then we have a right old selection of vehicles....
.
A Moskvich 412 in cold war beige - a personal favourite that caused a few filming issues...
A DOT Demon scrambler beautifully restored by rider I am sure I remember from Murray Walker and the Grandstand Days.
A whole load of MG's - Midgets, B's, BGT's.......and a burger van.

Last weeks episode and others are on UKTV play still...

I could do just classic classics, but where's the fun in that?!

Really enjoying this programme.

Love how real and authentic it is and especially hearing from the owners who are buying/selling and their stories.

Sometimes it’s the eccentrics that make these programmes what they are, not a shouty cockney sitting on a bonnet

I've not got much to add to what others have said, just still enjoying the show. I like that it's as much about the people as the vehicles, and the variety of both - you never know what you're going to get next. I give most car-related shows a chance, but at the moment only this and Find It Fix It Drive It are still series-linked in my planner.

Another enjoyable episode tonight. I was surprised how much the ‘Vitesse’ estate went for.

Next auction is this coming Saturday (1st). I’ll be there smile

That was crazy money .....it was sold with a Vitesse V5 by the sound of it yet was originally a Herald. Online buyer bought a lemon there methinks

I think you've nailed it, format-wise. What works in the US doesn't always work over here and trying to appeal to a demographic that wouldn't watch your show anyway is a sure route to failure.
There's equal focus on the cars and the people without deliberately trying to create 'characters'.

As someone said above, it's rare (unheard of even) for any car-related TV programme to have such universal approval on PH.

Of course, the main reason is because it's filmed in North Yorkshire wink

Nice Landie. If I lived near Matthewsons I'd be divorced, but with a garage full of nice old cars laugh

It's nice to see that this thread hasn't been derailed by the usual bickering or needless criticisms.

I'm about two weeks behind on episodes but it's an enjoyable watch and definitely fits neatly into the kind of slow TV I enjoy.

I'm fancying a trip to the sale tomorrow now.

Get there early to have a look at the lots, park up in the car park by the lake and get in the village hall in plenty of time. Space is at a premium smile.

Looks nice, would be interested to see that through, but nearly 300 mile away.....

Thought the "Vitesse" Estate was a great idea although not a genuine Triumph model. A very usable classic although it did appear to need some bodywork.
