I didn't realise that the Tribute Ferrari chap was the White Rover guy. I remember that episode. Must have been a few years between the episodes.
Probably over 4 years at least, as the white Rover one was a pre-Covid episode IIRC.

Tribute Ferrari chap or White Rover guy is Geoff-agmsd who's on this thread just a few posts prior to you. wink

So you didn't have the red Tribute (Ferrari) 250 SWB?

Having now caught up with the thread my thoughts are that some of the comments and attitudes shown on this thread towards the 'Tribute' might be the only thing which would put me off something like that. Bear in mind that a personal close inspection would always show up things that selected TV footage doesn't but it looked on face of it a decent job that was not pretending to be anything other than it was.

Liked the little BMC tractor, at least you might not get the caravan club round looking for quad bikes in the middle of the night.

Sorry I was confused (still am) because earlier in the thread when we were discussing the Tribute 250 on Bangers & Cash you said you built it.

Is it the same car? The registration numbers are different.

Yes, I knew exactly which one you were talking about. I thought yours was a better car than the red Bangers and Cash version.

Clearly, I’m a bit thick, I thought the red car on B&C was previously the blue car you owned, my mistake.

I preferred the interior of the red one but didn't think the Dunlop centre lock wheel suited it.

If I bought it to use it I'd much rather have them than wires, being stronger and much easier to keep clean.

Also, if you take the Ferrari badges off and paint the car any colour than red then it seems less like it's trying to be something it's not, and can be enjoyed more for what it actually is.

I preferred those wheels to the ubiquitous wires

I really liked the Tribute and for that money I would rather drive that than an equivalently priced Euro Box/SUV/EV

If it's usable as a daily, then it starts to make a lot of sense.
