Lotus +2, when he said £50K i had to wind the prog back as I thought I'd miss heard. Gobsmacked when it made £44K at auction and double smacked when he didn't accept. He did have a nice garage, looked to be a Sunbeam Tiger? or maybe just Alpine. Would have liked to see the A7 they use most.
The MG TF looked tidy enough but doesn't suit black. I'm having a retro moment these last few weeks and quite fancy a T series, would I be disappointed after a few weeks I wonder.

You did, owner was talking about wanting 60k for it, and reckoned he'd spent 80k on it......which was astonishing looking at it, given the paint condition and other stuff.Owner may have had a nice garage, but was otherwise living in an alien world.

They kept saying JPS Esprit but I am sure they did both a JPS and world champions editions.
I believe the standard JPS car had silver wheels.
Nope, gold wheels were standard on the JPS, and there were no separate JPS and World Champion editions.I believe the standard JPS car had silver wheels.
From fading memory, there was around 90 odd sold in UK, and about 40 odd sold in the ROW.
The Lotus owner needs to listen to those around him- multiple attempts at selling at multiple auction houses. Totally unrealistic idea about the worth of his flock.
Also, Dave has clearly done too many of their You Tube walk round videos- 'this is nice, that's nice, so and so is nice, the other is nice, overall it's nice, paperwork is nice, get yourselves down for a nice look at a nice motor...'.
Nice!

There was a brief glimpse of the A7 when the owner opened the garage door. Only the front was visible but it was either a Ruby or variant thereof. The MG TF looked tidy enough but doesn't suit black. I quite enjoyed that episode. I have to agree that the Lotus owner was rather ambitious with his prices. I am 60 and can remember Ronnie Petersen but as Derek said very few people could remember him so the provenance of the car might not mean a lot to many people. The ERF truck looked superb and pleased it went to someone who will appreciate it and keep it on the road.

TF seemed cheap,a mate of mine sold his for £26k 2 years ago and it wasn't mint by any means
Cars like that are probably loosing 5% every couple of years.Derek and Dave both said on the rostrum, that a few years ago, it would be a 25k car, but the people that want them are of an age that they are selling, not buying, and like pre-war stuff, there are fewer people wanting them, so prices will drop.
Your mate sold up at the right time.

The font on the number plate on the Esprit really bugged me!
Not just me then I really don't understand this obsession for putting gash looking number plates on cars.
