Looks like a fair bit of condensation in one of the Aston rear lights.

The Fiat is reserved at £1,500 but they have to phone the vendor to check that £1,800 is acceptable. This isn't how auctions are supposed to work.

I think I made similar comment a week or two ago.

That's what I thought. Very odd.

Thought they were quite, stereotypically, unfair to the Uno. They didn't rust, or certainly no more than any other car of their time. They may even have been galvanised, as were the original Panda after a certain year. I had a few of them and remember being blown away by the wee cars space, refinement and ability to cruise at 85mph all day on a tiny engine. Cracking wee cars and well relieved when new, but like anything, progress brings the past into sharp perspective I guess!

I thought the new owner had made a nice job of it. The painted wheels made a big difference to it.

I liked Derek's bit about kit cars ("specials"). Not that I've ever had one or built one.

Certainly did, unfortunate colour though. My first was an Uno Bianca, white with, I think, white wheel trims, sunroof, loved the Citroenesqe 'pods' for the controls. Second one was a white diesel 1.7, again, comfy, spacious, really frugal, I actually think I might have had another, a kinda aquamarine colour but I can't remember!!

Is the chap who bought the Moskvich the same guy who bought a Tatra in an earlier episode? He seemed to have a lot of East European stuff in his farmyard.

Yeah my wife had a Bianca way back, was a great little car, some sort of tartanesque seats IIRC

And they weren't just an old dear's car either. We had one when we were first married and took it all the way down to Sorrento and back one summer.
