There is a plan, and it’s underway.
I’m sure as the many of you who have taken on car restorations - me included, will testify to, we will go on about endlessly about our changing plans and timescale. Don’t hold me to any dates, but there is a plan...

Great news! Now Series 3 has completed transmission, when’s our next fix of Mathewsons scheduled for!?!I’m sure as the many of you who have taken on car restorations - me included, will testify to, we will go on about endlessly about our changing plans and timescale. Just press an hold the green "Mike" button on a Sky Q remote and say "Banger and Cash" and up come all 3 series. Sorry but I don't know about other systems!
How does this witchcraft work? Is it the ‘special’ controller only? Dashnine said:
I think the only the earlier 2Tb Silver boxes got the Touch Remote with Voice Activation. ITb boxes and the Minibox remotes didn’t get Voice Activation with the mic button on the side.
When the Touch Remote was dropped I think the basic ‘button’ remote got the Voice Activation.
Mine is a late version SKY "Q" box and has Blue microphone button just above the red record button. Some that I have seen have a microphone button on the right side of the control. But you must have a Q boxWhen the Touch Remote was dropped I think the basic ‘button’ remote got the Voice Activation.
Good luck!
Repeat of the ‘car collector’ on his farm. It’s not fair to say it’s ‘annoying’ as it’s his money and possessions. He just has too much stuff to really care about any of them - and so many of those lovely cars should be used and enjoyed. Hell - he has a mk3 Granada which I have a huge soft spot for. His 172s are discarded- appreciating only if maintained! A Focus RS, cast to one side. Impreza WRX - left to rot outside.
The impression is he has little time, and lots of money, and yet seems bored. I suggest one expensive to run classic - something like an XJ220 (or more his thing, an RS500 and an RS200).

Thing is, if it wasnt for folk like him, these things would all be gone, stripped for spares or shipped back to eastern europe. The ' custodian' role of these types of guys keeps things out of harms way . The impression is he has little time, and lots of money, and yet seems bored. The trouble here in the UK, is nobody has space, so stuff has to go.. i buy sub £1000 cars and vans as daily drives, and the stuff you can get is unreal , BMW's with service history , and under 100k miles for £500... yes it was a 316 , but it was spot on apart from a Lambda sensor and one lacquer spot.. if i had a barn, i would have parked it , and put a cover over it. But it got weighed in cos i only have a 6 cat drive, and i cant keep everything .

I thought the XR2 sold well cheaply , compared to some ridiculous prices for fast Fords .
That's 1985 fast , as in 96 BHP I believe this should have had .
Narrator said needed restoration , I thought a decent recommission would be sufficient .
Well the new owners said the floor was like a Fred Flintstone car so I doubt a recommission would make it roadworthyThat's 1985 fast , as in 96 BHP I believe this should have had .

The chap selling it for his lady friend did say " no rot anywhere" .
I think he fibbed .
I had half a dozen Mk1 & 2 Fiestas in my teens & knew the moment I saw the mk2 XR2 on the show that it was going to need far more work than they were letting on. Good thing the bloke who bought it ran a bodyshop , there are only a very small number of "normal" people who would be sinking several grand (possibly more) on a restoration after paying around four grand for the base car.
