Has anyone ever vogued in a disco? And has anyone ever seen people voguing in discos/clubs?
I’m in my 40’s and been round the block far more times than I care to remember but not once not a single time have I ever seen it. I do however recall an afternoon 18 years ago in a Pizza Express it was a baking hot day everyone sweating apart from one guy he was ice cold sweat free.

That is funny he vividly remembers you too! Had to pop off early though for a hot date!I’m in my 40’s and been round the block far more times than I care to remember but not once not a single time have I ever seen it. Big mistake doing that dance though-it was total clart.
I agree. I mean, even those of us old enough to remember Vogue didn't get the reference with the costumes until a helpful link from MrsMiggins. Totally the wrong choice. I think it was something special to her though (and I can agree it was perhaps self-indulgent in that respect). It was a good re-creation of Madonna's 1990 MTV Awards set but... it was the wrong thing to do for Strictly.
So, I agree it was self-indulgent but disagree that it was tripe and that all her previous good dances have been down to good choreography and I maintain that saying so is overly harsh and a rather unfair to her.
I really enjoyed watching Michelle, she had a lot of style and was better than I expected her to be most weeks. Also seems a decent person and doesn't wind me up like most of the American celebs they get on.
But I didn't enjoy that dance at all really and Saffron's was definitely technically better for me.
Bit surprised she's out before Chris but he had a good week again so props to him.

As dance off finished , I said to OH ,Craig and Bruno will struggle between heart and head . It appears they did ,and did the right thing
Not helped, I feel, by the way that Michelle really did pick up her performance for the dance off in the ways Craig suggested (as he noted at the vote)... but in the terms of this competition at least, it still wasn't really a dance.defblade said:

Kelvin is quite unusual as he's clearly very muscular but still flexible unlike most of the athletes who tend to be quite stiff. I wouldn't be surprised if he wins it.

That could be because he's an actor who is built like a weight lifter, rather than an athlete. Abbott said:
I caught the end of some thing on the BBC this Morning that was suggesting that judges, dancers and conestants had recieved death threats?
Wouldn't surprise me. A certain segment of the internet is big on death threats for even the most minor perceived injustice in their tiny minds. Clockwork Cupcake said:

The more she banged on about LGBT the more annoying I found her, especially going on about how much of a voice they need as they’re largely unheard - you what love? Everything is LGBT these days, unless she’s based in the States and doesn’t realise things are more enlightened here.

Yes, you've regularly shown how "enlightened" you are on this subject.marksx said:

That could be because he's an actor who is built like a weight lifter, rather than an athlete. The athletes always take themselves too seriously and struggle to 'let go' and show personality (Which rarely they have). An actors job is to 'let go' of themselves and be someone else on a daily basis.
Its an issue of self consciousness rather than some mechanics behind their body shape.

Indeed. I often think actors have a bit of an advantage inasmuch as the dances on Strictly are as much telling a story / playing a part, as dance technique. The athletes always take themselves too seriously and struggle to 'let go' and show personality (Which rarely they have). Having said that, an athlete will have more stamina and be more used to intense training, but won't have the same experience of playing a role.
Swings and roundabouts, I guess.
