Seeing the scoreboard,it's a no brainer, huge gulf between top 3 and Chris Ramsey.

Agreed, but Chris is believed to have enormous public support.

Stellar paso doble from Kelvin and Oti. Anyone else notice that as soon as the audience started singing "Oh, Jeremy Corbyn", the sound was 'mysteriously' muted out?

I enjoyed Chris & Karen's rumba but there was rather a lot of Chris standing still and Karen twirling around, with her twirling almost to the detriment of the mood the dance was creating.

Craig certainly didn't like it though.

Chris definitely looked like the weakest dancer this week and I'd hope he goes home tomorrow. But who knows with strictly.

I enjoyed his dance to Queen though, and he has generally improved immensely.

Weird year for me in that I have no real favourite or anyone I've massively warmed too (perhaps apart from Amy in that slinky dress). So I'm rooting for Anton to win as I think that's the best storyline and result overall.

Emma is good enough to win and agree with above,I'd like to see Anton win, having been given very little chance some years with duffers like Widdecombe.

Is it just me, or that apart from a general level of competence in all the entrants - some of which have clearly gone to stage school - there was no real 'artistry' this year?

Louis Smith or Abby Clancy for example. Both were a joy to watch week on week.

Well, Abby Clancy is always a joy to watch anyway,cloud9 not so sure about Louis Smith.....biggrin

All 4 deserve to be there at present, if only for the sheer effort that they've clearly put in. The fact that they have professionals like the delightful Amy, and Oti, is just the icing on the cake. Having said all that, it would still be nice if the wonderful pairing of Emma and Anton could be the overall winners.

I'm with you on this, all talented, all worthy. Just little personality.

General consensus with our friends is the standard of the ladies is somewhat down this year from previous contestants. The fact that Emma is the last woman in the mix is pretty poor, she’d have been third or fourth best woman in any of the previous few years.

Saffron was way better, did huge amounts of content in her dances, but fell foul of a poor routine / dress / music the week she went.

Michelle was also better but fell into a self indulgent walk around trying to make a point, instead of competing in a dance competition.

Having said that Chris needs to go, he shouldn’t have made it past week 5...

Hopefully he'll win then join the judges as head judge and get Ballas kicked off and take Motsi with her and get someone decent in. Some of their marks have been strange to say the least, and don't get me started on what would happen if there was ever a male judge who letched over a woman the same way she does over Kelvin.

I said to the girlfriend last night that all shirley needs to do now is throw him her pants. You are right there would be lots of complaints the other way round.

No, sorry, Saffron was good but nothing exceptional. Michelle was far too full of herself, and trying to pursue a personal agenda, to be taken as a serious competitor. At least Emma has improved immensely from week one, and meets what many of the viewing public would consider to be a nice, traditional, dancer.

The letching from the judges' desk is uncalled for and it's totally hypocritical that it's being allowed.

A 10 from Craig at last. Quite right too.
At least Craig only gives a 10 for a perfect dance, which is right. Giving 10s to people who've blatantly made mistakes devalues the 10.

Has anyone had trouble voting online?

A children's TV presenter and a social media celebrity are going to rely on online votes more than most celebs, so online voting not working for a while will be to their disadvantage, regardless of official announcements on the show saying it's not made a difference.

Maybe but given that all the judges are into blokes it's not a scenario that's going to happen. Maybe the female contestants should complain - there's seems to be some bias against them from certain judges.

I see the Mail are continuing their usual anti-BBC campaign by promoting the issue of the results leaking out in an attempt to get viewers to look for the results & hence be less tempted to watch the Sunday show. The results have always been leaked but it's only for the last two weeks that the Mail has run the story. I'm not linking to the scum.

Just goes to show how subjective it is...everyone we know thinks she was better at every stage than Emma...hey ho..
